Went out shooting on some state land, and some locals that live couple hundred yard away decided to bury roofing nails in the road. Picked ten out of my tires at les schwabs there was 5 I was scared to pull.

Seriously 99 out of 100 people will find another spot to go shoot if you approach me. Now I want to go there everyday and blow 1000 rounds of the loudest gun I can buy.

Called the sheriffs office
Really really really pissed off right now

Wow. What people will do because the don't like something. Thing is they probably could have gotten it zoned, but instead the decided to be *******s and invalidate their point (if they had one at all).

are you positive it was state land and open to public use? if in fact it is an you can prove it that sucks that happened to you and i hope you get it rectified.

Positive its state land, ive played paintball and shot there for five years, a lot of time the state fire crews are out there working on it. I've sat and jackjawed with them a few times,

So you were shooting 200 yards from someones house and you're upset they were an ass? I'm confused.

I go shooting way out, miles out. I don't like to be around anyone nor do I like to bother anyone with my noise.

Sorry to hear about your tires.

How do you know it was the locals that live a couple hundred yards away?

There are a lot of assumptions in this thread that I don't like. Sorry that happened. ****ty people do ****ty things, regardless (or in spite of) their beliefs. Try not to assume it was because of your guns though.

The real question is, how are the tires holding up after all of this? It would be a real testament to Duratracs if they come out relatively unscathed. I hope they do. Sorry that happened to you.

Yes, truly I am assuming it was people in the area. And as far as going miles out from anywhere. Not going to argue the point but its my choice. I'm 100% legal and safe when I go there

I also am assuming it was because of guns, not just my guns, but guns.

I know they're just my assumptions but ill stand hard and fast by both of them. Only logical explantion that I can come up with

I've had a problem like this, cruising on a public road that has government land on one side and public on the other I shot a couple rounds off with my new rifle and the next thing I know the game warden is on my a** saying he got a call about someone poaching... pissed me off cause I have enough respect for the wildlife and am the one usually after the poachers. This was during the summer and on a Sunday (which you cant hunt on in Virginia)

I'd think you are safe in assuming its people in the area. Most people dont like gunfire around their homes.

Gun Ranges and **** treatment plants.. the two things no one wants anywhere near their house and the poor *******s that get stuck with it end up being slightly pissed...

Or you know, they could not buying homes next to a public shooting range.

There are ways to petition to move a shooting range or sell their house and move away, vandalizing and harassing legal shooters is bull.

Wasn't a shooting range, it was just land ... legal or not, only a **** would shoot 200 yards from homes. OP, you can find a place where you wont bother people. Its WA, 40% of the land in the state is public.
