DVD Screens

you did get a steal when CC went out of biz at $280. Most of the audiovox out there now come with headrests, Im pretty confident in Alpine's quality and hoping these will live up to that.

i didnt say any thing about quality of alpines stuff. as my show car is sponsored by them and i love alpine stuff to death. however i wouldn't pay that much for alpine monitors.

Just got back from Best Buy where a guy i've used for installs over the years works. Purchased an overhead mount 9.5" screen for $228, half price due to being an open box buy. Best Buy's in house brand, Insignia. Sitting in the back I tested the line of sight and it was quite nice compared to the $600 Alpine next to it in the store. The Alpine was 10.2" which I cannot justify an extra $400 on. The unit will allow me now to listen to music upfront and have videos in rear off of iphone and dvd at the same time. Headliner will not be ruined as dome light existing hole will be used. For $71.00 less I'm getting full ipod integration, separate speaker points, and integrated DVD. I'll post pics, but anyone who was afraid of overhead drop downs blocking the rearview mirror, have an installer hold one up to the ceiling which you sit in the driver's seat, you wont be unhappy. As usual, thank you to everyone on this site who offered feedback.
