Hi, im new here and i've been looking at some 4thgen runners and i love what some of you guys have done to them. I recently got a 2005 black 4runner sr5 completly stock. I dont care for the stock look to much, i was wondering what are some site that sell accesories for a 4th gen. Im looking for a brush guard(black pref) and some new rims/tires. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Snook. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to T4R. I mostly lurk and read everyone else's cool mods. Though I have done a bunch to my 4R I haven't been able to document it on this forum yet. For instance, I installed my Borla dual exhaust today and it was thru posts on here that I made my decision on that. That would apply to my lift, tires, spidertrax, stereo, etc.
READ, READ, READ as many threads as you can handle and you'll find any answer you want. I have never found this forum lacking in answers.
I would advise to go over your 4R from top to bottom, change every fluid (I do my own), and get it as close to perfect mechanically as you can before you worry about pimping it out. These beasts will give you years of service and many miles if taken care of. I bought my 04 brand new in 04 and it has never been to the shop for a repair. I just take care of it and it takes care of me. I off-road in mine more frequently than most so it isn't a garage queen either. It is very rewarding to do the work yourself, but can understand those that choose not to.
Anyway, just search for brush guards or wheels and you should get some ideas.
