Question about map light mod

I have a 2007 SR5 and I want to do the maplight mod. I have SRS side airbags, and in order to splice into the wire for the maplights, I have to remove the side panel to access the wires. Does this mod interfere with the airbags? I wouldn't want to make a mistake.

Skid Plate Door for oil filter

Made a door for my skid plate so i never have to take the darn thing off to get to my oil filter on my v8. Good riddens , save myself 10 minutes and the trouble.

I would like to get some information/detail on how to do this. Has any one other than fayewong done this? Thank you in advance.

Hitting the center diff lock button turns off some nannies, just don't do it while turning on concrete. Snow and dirt is fine.

You can unplug a wheel speed sensor connector in the engine bay, driver's side.

Or you can splice into a wire somewhere and add a switch.

Should be quite a few write-ups, we don't really call it Andy's Mod though.

So I'm still learning about differentials and everything. What I don't understand is why there would be a problem turning with the center diff locked. The front and rears would still be open, right? So, as far as I can reason, there shouldn't be any problem with wheel binding, right? I mean, the wheels would still be able to turn at different speeds wouldn't they? How could they not if the front and rear diffs are still open?

With the center diff locked the front and rear driveshafts can only turn the same exact speed.

The front and rear driveshafts need to turn at slightly different speeds when turning because the rear tires follow a wider arc than the front, and maybe for some other reasons IDK.

I did it DIY. It took me 3 weekends. LOL. I took both bumper covers, flares off the truck. It probably cost me $300. Bought rhino liner online. Thanks for the compliment! It is fully scratches free. I'm getting a lot of looks and curiosity.

Any tips or advice? I've been thinking of raptor lining my rig in grey for a long time now but I'm just worried I'll get wet spots or spray wrong somehow.

I would recommend just go for it. I did it for the first time. There is nothing to be afraid of. Pure confidence and you will make it. I took all plastic parts off. Masked windows and rubber parts very carefully. Take your time. Don't be in a hurry and you will get no wet spots. You will do it RIGHT not wrong. Try to take pics while working on it. Start a new thread. Post it here. Wear a good mask and have a plenty of gloves. PROTECT your respiratory system!!! Combine 2 shades of gray for different parts like I did for some inserts like the Toyota badge. Good luck bud!

Yes, with the center diff locked the front and rear are open. But the center diff is the 3rd diff in the equation and when you lock it, it locks the speeds of the front/rear driveshafts together and that's what causes the binding, because when turning the front/rear driveshafts need to turn at different speeds.

I just acquired my 2007 SR5 and I've seen scattered mentions about headlight bulb changes and in searching around I've seen various answers to this.

What can I do to make my stock headlights better in terms of changing out the bulb? The stock headlights are not good.

I have been curious as well. Would be neat if we had a thread comparing all the options

I went with Diode Dynamics for low and high LED beams and it is like daylight. It's so good I have been delaying upgrading the fog lights to their LED's and doing the headlight fog light mod. Both still on my weekend list of things to do though.

I put Lasfit LEDs in both low and high beam.
