I really like it and use it often. It's a huge upgrade over pouring water from jugs. It flows about at a very similar rate to a normal sink faucet and turns on/off clean and quick without dripping.

Mainly we use it for cooking.. filling pots or the jetboil. Making coffee, etc. It typically is enough to last for about a week if used wisely but the top is still easy to remove and refill if needed. It's awesome to be able to have both hands free when prepping food or cleaning the dishes in one of those collapsible sinks. Keeps things feeling very effortless almost like cooking at home.

I don't think there would be much use for one if you aren't going out for more than a night or if you aren't using water to prepare a bunch of different foods/drinks. But for me lifting a 5 gallon jug all the time or moving it into a position that could be gravity poured just to get a few ounces here and there wasn't the best option.

Installed the gauges today and I'm really happy with how it all came out!

This picture is before I had the wideband sensor bung in the exhaust and I was playing with the boost gauge.

(the cable to the right is for my phone/Ipod/etc.)



The glove box opens/closes normally, all the wires go through a hole I cut in the back of the box and the gauges are working great. Now I can see that sweeeeet 4psi I'm pushing at 5000+ feet elevation where I live. Won't be that way for too much longer though.

Kyle, I had no idea you were boosted. Guess I missed that detail in your build

Just curious... did you route the wiring for the gauges through the driver-side firewall opening? (The rubber boot).

Ya it's been boosted for awhile just finally decided to add gauges.

I went through the passenger side firewall opening. Same basic idea you are thinking of just on the passenger side. The wiring comes in directly behind the glove box so it was perfect for my needs.

Haha not the easy line or the one I originally wanted but with water running down it and snow....it worked. 5-Speed stick shift FURY!

On another note. Picked up a 50-quart ARB Fridge today. Mega craigslist deal but new in the box.

Gotta keep them Jumbo Otterpops at optimal temperature.

That's the line I tried on my trip. It was really muddy after a few days of rain. I ended up hung up by my transfer case skid right at the top.

Haha ya the trasharoo on the back was filled with cans, beer bottles, and all sorts of other trash from the prior 2 nights on the trail. Add that to the hi-lift and jerry can padlock, throw in some moving rocks and you've got a pretty anoying bunch o' noise. Like I was stringing a bunch of old cans along Just Married style.

Picked up this brand new fridge on craigslist for a real sweet deal. Drove down to the sellers house and it just so happened to be Dillon at Toytec Lifts. I had no trouble finding the place because he and his dad had a driveway full of awesome rigs. Small world and it was neat to meet some new faces....and take their fridge!

It's been below zero at night and in the teens during the day here so it's not really the ideal season for it but I couldn't pass it up and the wife said I just have to wrap it up and put it under the tree for Christmas lol.

Haha ya...wayyy faster than I wanted to go. But I couldn't keep enough traction going slow or stopping and starting in the wet. Finesse with the manual trans can be tricky to keep from stalling, not rolling back, etc. Always practicing but difficult to master.

On the street I love the manual.... On the technical crawling stuff I wish I had an automatic honestly. But I still enjoy the extra challenge the manual adds in some ways... sometimes it adds more frustration than anything though. Depends on the mood lol. Exactly why I'm doing dual cases.

Did you end up making it up the left side or did you just abort? It provided more challenge than I expected it to rolling up to it. Hopefully I'll be able to make it back that way next year.

I once hung up I got a little sideways and was afraid to back down because of the large ledge on the right. So I took a strap.

I hear ya. I'm glad someone else understands haha. It's such a pain to finesse the clutch and gas, work the parking brake on/off... all while getting bounced around and figuring out your line.

I've never owned an automatic vehicle in my life and am a manual trans fanboy through and through buuuuutttt I do get jealous of all the ease at which the auto rigs can handle to more technical aspects, power delivery ,and the more forgiving nature that brings with it.

I am the same way. Other than my Tundra that is less than a year old both the wife and I have always had manuals.

I am really jealous of your dual upgrade, but I think when I have the cash I am going to regear and hope that a lower low will do the trick. Or at least a noticable improvement.

You'll love having a fridge! I've got a 43qt EdgeStar that's survived a week in Ouray and 5 days in Moab. I hate having to break out the cooler and ice now.
