Lol I was surprised when I saw that too.
It's just front and rear Shrockworks bumpers. They weigh in at a bit over 200 pounds total. They ship them in huge wooden crates so I'm sure that is where most of that additional weight is coming from.
or....Maybe they sent me a spare set!

I was driving home and something got stuck to the back of my truck!
I really shouldn't be taking on another project but I was offered a trade I simply couldn't refuse.
So here is my new (to me) 1967 M416. It is nearly rust free!
So far its had the whole axle/hubs swapped for a wider stance and Toyota 6 lug wheels. The tires are new and its been converted to spring over axle.
I've got big plans for it...
It'll be awhile I'm sure, but I'm excited about its a well cared for starting point.

Bumpers are here!
(Getting these up my driveway into my garage sucked.)
Prepping for the operation fat man.
(It wouldn't quite slide off by hand and I didn't want to put uneven force on the shaft so out came the puller and it came off with almost no effort just needed a nudge.)

Rear off and area painted to match
(no shown gaps)
This thing and I have gained a whole new level in our relationship during this project.
(the amount of hardware that hold these on is insane)
And Front's off!
Bump and grind.
End caps done and mounts on.
OOOHHH that's all I've got so far.... Major let down huh?

I wish it was with better news that I update this and start posting again but I've been dealing with a major family emergency that has pretty much decimated my finances.
I absolutely hate to do it but selling the 4runner is about the only non major life changing source of needed money I've got left.
Both bumpers, winch, and all the goodies are installed and it looks incredible. I'll post some pictures soon as a farewell.
But in the meantime everything will be for sale. You can see what I've got on the first page of this thread. If you or someone you know wants the whole rig get in touch. I'll post everything in the classifieds soon as I get everything off and ready to ship.

Major family emergency does not sound good. I'm sorry to hear about that man, and I hope that whatever has gone awry gets resolved quickly. As long as it's not a health issue (which I hope it's not), just remember the saying... "this too shall pass".
You had great enthusiasm for your build, and for helping others on the forum. Hopefully you bounce back quickly and we see more of you in the future.

Wow, I'm so sorry you are going through that and I hope everything can be resolved quickly. Cars and parts come and go as well all know, but family is always first. Take care and I hope you venture back sometime when things pass over.
