Well... I ain't going anywhere it seems.
Although I'm a bit too embarrassed to really explain in detail what I've been going the last couple of weeks I can now say that it is now in the healing stages and we'll be moving forward and out much quicker than I thought possible both physically, emotionally, and financially.
Largely in part to help I received from the great people of this forum I was able to take on a few side jobs and sell some of my prized guns and things unrelated to the 4Runner raising enough to stay even.
My wife called me the morning after my last post in here, crying and explaining how she didn't want to see me taking the 4Runner back apart and selling something we both enjoy together that enables our explorations and dog outings, which fill most of our weekends. Apparently it has friends.
I've received a great deal of personal messages, comments here, and even people stopping by my shop offering support. I'll be doing my best to reply and I really just want to thank all of you for the friendship and understanding you've kindly offered to myself and my family... all for being a dude on the internet that likes typing about these old 4Runners.
I'll be back around to posting shortly. The breakneck pace I've taken with this build so far will slow down but not stop lol. I hope to get further involved in the greater Colorado 4x4 scene this summer and beat this thing up some more.
For the community, friendship, and support.
Honestly, thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hope everything works out, and hope you'll be back. I'll ask around for you. Good luck!
Thanks for the offer man! How are those tires still doing by the way?
Very sorry to hear that, for you, and for the forum who will lose your knowledgeable contributions. I hope everything works out as well as possible.
I appreciate it man. I always have enjoyed in particular the threads we've both posted in offering assistance. So many times I have clicked a thread going into offer assistance and I see you've already posted a link offering the information I would have spent ages writing about or searching for to better describe a point. I really want to see your bookmarks list lol.
Really sorry to hear you are going through all of the family issues... I hope that things resolve as peacefully as possible. Good luck to you and I truly hope for the best.
Thank you! I still have your diffs in my garage and still plan to use them. Need bigger tires....someday.
Major family emergency does not sound good. I'm sorry to hear about that man, and I hope that whatever has gone awry gets resolved quickly. As long as it's not a health issue (which I hope it's not), just remember the saying... "this too shall pass".
You had great enthusiasm for your build, and for helping others on the forum. Hopefully you bounce back quickly and we see more of you in the future.
Thank you and I appreciated the reminder that everything will work out. It's easy to forget that when things start falling apart and leave you feeling powerless. Also a lot of enthusiasm came from seeing builds like yours!
I hope that everything gets taken care of quickly and without too much expense.
Don't be a stranger and come back as soon as you can.
Thank you man! I'll be around soon.
Wow, I'm so sorry you are going through that and I hope everything can be resolved quickly. Cars and parts come and go as well all know, but family is always first. Take care and I hope you venture back sometime when things pass over.
Thank you. Luckily the family likes the truck more than previously thought.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope everything works out okay.
Thank you kindly. All is well and on a very different track more quickly than I thought it would be.
hey man, i think i can speak for everyone hear when i say; if there is anything we can do to help or anything you need, let us know... this world/life hands out some pretty shitty cards to some pretty good people and its a shame... you have been a great help to a lot of us, and always willing to teach and take time to make sure others are taken care of, its the least we can do to offer help back.
im sad to hear of the sudden issue(s), and send prayers and thoughts, God speed in overcoming whats at hand.
in other news im very interested in your lotus RCAMS...
Thank you and it means a lot because I know you are very sincere. I've really enjoyed being a part of this community and also enjoy the fun and wild posts that I can only expect from "the kid". Feel free to mention me like you have in the past it's been fun. Also those new SCS wheels look awesome on your rig. I voted for you.
Sorry to hear about the family emergency, and for having to get rid of the rig. Good luck and stay strong Kyle. And thank you for all of your help in the past for diagnosis and tips. You've been a great addition and your threads will continue to help us.
Thanks! Hopefully I'll be continuing. Life rolls on.
I'm wishing you and yours the best, Kyle.
You are one of the good guys.
Thank you very much! A lot of good guys on here. With all the online forums I've seen in the past full of bickering, self-righteous keyboard warriors this one is so much different in a great way. All the passion and information is shared here without all the attitude I'm so used to seeing elsewhere.
Major family emergencies are lame. I second the request to let us know if/how we can help, and I hope things change for the better soon!
Thank you man! Did you ever pick up a dial indicator/build that t-case?
