I've been noticing the same thing, and I've seen what looks to be WAY too much movement in the sticks over washboard and decent bumps. How are you liking the new mount? Any drawbacks, like extra vibrations or anything?

Glad to see that you got my new wheels mounted. I'll be by to pick them up 1st thing tomorrow. Just kidding. Glad to see everything worked out for your 4runner. I really enjoy your thread and your posts.
By the way, how was wiring the fog light switch? It's something I've thought about, but haven't read or seen much.

I wish. Just swapped over my 265s but they do look a lot sweeter now that they are sitting out quite a bit further. Next set will definitely be bigger though.
I've driven it now several hundred miles and on the same trails it used to hit and its been great. There is no noticeable difference in vibration through the shifter itself and only a very very minor extra bit of vibration only at idle that I've noticed but honestly its barely even noteworthy just wanted to give a thorough review. It has bushings built into the mount. In the picture it looks like solid metal lol. If I had to do it again I definitely would.
haha thanks! For mine it was really plug and play for the most part. On some (I'm not sure years and whatnot) there is a unused connector behind the bumper on each side where the fog lights would plug in. Then in the relay/fuse box there is empty spot where the fog light relay would have been. In my case I just bought the switch and relay. Both plugged in with no modification and I used the factory connectors.

Spent the last two weekends getting stuck in deep snow and mud and getting my new wheels sloppy.
Last weekend was the first I needed to use my fancy new winch...... And then again this weekend! I'm sure glad I have that thing now lol. This time of year is sloppy. No winching pictures sadly...

I've been back and forth on what I want the main purpose of the 4Runner to be and as I continue to use it for longer and longer camping trips I've decided to put my efforts toward more expedition type mods.
I'm in the process of building this here drawer system that will mount a fridge I just purchased, and provide the retention on what will be a custom converted jerry can/running water system.
Lots of things in the works... getting close!
The base is bolted into the factory tie-down spots. The entire thing was built from 1/2in sanded plywood... It's really putting my carpentry skills to the test and is still a ways from done. The drawers are 26inches and it has soft close slides just like your mom wants in the kitchen. It also has cubbies behind the seats.
The fuel can is only a place holder I used as I am waiting on the water can of the same size shape (but its blue!)

The pump system pictured is from Living Overland where he lists the parts used to build it. Or you can buy it assembled.

I'm still finishing up the trim, handles, and building a fridge slide for the 50L Indel B Fridge I have on order. Getting kinda ridiculous but so many good ideas that have come around and trying to combine the ones I think will be most useful.

Finished up the cargo box with some aluminum angle and handles that I'll be able to open easily even with winter mittens on. Also got the water system finished up.
Got some wireless going on for the winch since the solenoid will soon be more difficult to access due to adding dual batteries and monitor. And just cause its a lot more handy.
The wife stole my USB charger for her car so I used it as an opportunity to get a fancier one.
And the darn original darn intake boot/hose cracked. So I got me a fancier one too.

And got a lovely new tent and camped in the yard with the kids for the first time lol. We'll be using it for some longer trips this summer with friends.
It's a Big Agnes Flying Diamond 6.

The jug is a standard ol' 20L Military Water Can.
Military Water Can | Scepter Military water Can | Jerry Can For Water | 5 Gallon Water Can | 20L Water Can | 2.5 Gallon Water Can | 10L Water Can
The original cap that comes with the jug has been modified to accept a full motion swiveling faucet and an electric pump is in installed in the jug in this case. The faucet dial acts as the on/off switch for the pump. Its an easy way to fill up water bottles and bladders simply through the back glass and for a easy and abundant water system for cooking.
A little fancier than a jug and spout but my inner nerd took hold...

The Flying Diamond model that I got is great although overkill for most situations. It is a 4 season tent so will take snow loads and extreme wind without issue. I spent the night in it Saturday in 40+mph winds and constant rain and it remained bone dry and the wind seemed like little more than a sound inside. It has a room divider as to section off the lower back area and both sections have their own entrances. My stepdaughter slept in the back room after putting up the divider its like a 2 person attached tent.
The tent comes in an extremely nice bag that folds up like a briefcase and has a shoulder strap. When folding the bag open the rainfly, tent body, poles, and everything are in their own specific pockets. It's excellent. A big tent that is very easy to throw in the back and take with you.
Set up with the rainfly and stakes takes under 10 minutes after your first time. The poles are anodized different colors so there is no mistaking whats what, no stickers or labels to fall off.
The tallest area inside the tent is about 5 ft 8 inches tall. I can walk around with my head down. I was looking into taller tents for awhile but I like camping in Wyoming and wind resistance was a big deal to me.
It really is everything I wanted it to be. The biggest negative is the cost at about $600 after you get a footprint. With the rainfly on there is also very few areas that can be opened for any real view. Both the front and rear doors can be zipped back to show a mesh window or be closed up and waterproof but there is nothing on the sides other than some vents that can be opened and closed. Its also not very tall which again kinda has pros and cons. It does feel like a genuine 6 person tent inside though..... Unlike my Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 backpacking tent which is a 2 person tent that baarrrreeelllyyy fits my wife and I and each of us are not even 150 lbs. Its great to be able to spread out and bring some gear inside too.
