Good thing I'm not the only one hearing that. I emailed some guys yesterday and they said they are on backorder too.

They had them available with the coil over kit but showed to be backordered otherwise.
I did however recently order some the other day from wheelers offroad and then cancelled my order upon finding out I could do it this through toytec cheaper. They may still have some.

i was talking to a shop that i do a lot of business with -the owner is a friend of a friend, and gives me good deals, anyhow he was telling me that companies and manufactures only make so many "runs" of things at a time... this all started/happened because of the economic down fall a few years ago, when stores/shops and warehouses where left with an overabundance of products on the shelfs that they could not sell, but were getting taxed for in inventory, thus actually costing them money. manufactures in turn had to halt production because there was no place to the products to go, causing layoffs ect... so in order to change that they started doing "runs", only making so much at a time, and not making more until that was all sold out, or nearly sold out. typically this works and the theory is that you will only get low on supply and never actually run out of stock, but this is not a perfect world.
i found this out when talking to him about my 861 coils i was looking for, i was looking for weeks and could not find a set, no body had them, not even ARB -i have a good friend who works for ARB as a regional sales manager and he couldn't even get me a set. he also confirmed that they only make so much of a given product at a time and wont make excess until the available qualities reach a certain point. it sucks for the consumer, but for the business side of things i can understand it. things are starting to slowly pick back up in the economy but not to the point before the recession, and this is more of a "lessons learned" kinda thing that they are gun shy on, and will probably take a bit more cautiously in coming out of.

Hell yeah man bilsteins will get the job done. Not blingy and only 2" shock bodies but we aren't running through any whoops out here anyways. Now we need to plan some wheeling when/if the trails up here open.

In preparation for the fridge and dual batteries I decided to install a hot at all times fuse block. I used a blue sea systems fuel box and hid a 6 gauge cable/wire from the battery back.
It will power the fridge, water system, and probably some other stuff I dream up one of these days (lights for cooking in the back maybe).
I'm very pleased with how it came out and integrated with the drawer system.

Worked on some odds and ends today.
Drilled a hole and cleaned up all the wiring for the lighting and CB coax cable on the swing out.
Welded up the toytec panhard drop bracket.
Bead blasted and painted the brake drums. They look soooo much better with the new wheels.
Gave her a treat.

The BG products always remind me of a Red Bull for cars/trucks... something about the way they come in a pop top can like that. I never realized they were local to you up there in Ft. Collins.

Originally had some camping plans with friends that fell through due to weather but I was determined to get out still so I decided to go on a solo mission to a T-33a crash site and spend the night just me and the dogs. It was rainy and foggy the first day but we did just fine. I just put my new 285s on the same morning and luckily trimmed just enough! This is still with the OME 881s and 890s netting not a lot of lift with my heavy butt.

wow you saw a fair amount of carnage on that trip, and its the best kind of carnage -when it doesnt happen to you.
that looks like a cool trip. id love to go see an old plane crash or something. you guys out in colorado are so lucky with with your wilderness, its so rich with history and abandon places/stuff. good times man. the runner is looking killer too, love those wheels

Thanks man! I picked up a little bit of damage it seems but not too bad.
I just got home and was looking it over since it drove a little odd on the way home and I did take a couple hits mostly to the skids.
Woops!
Oh well.... I think I'll get the big nasty Sonoran Steel links coming.

Sorry man! Honestly it was so last minute. I was heading to basically Denver to go camping with some friends then plans fell through so I pulled over off I25 and made my own plan B. I didn't even start the trail till about 4-5pm and got to the top around 8 so a big part of why I stayed. Luckily already had my camping gear with me lol.
This week the new suspension and new links will be going in then hopefully we can get together again for some trails. There was really no snow and all the water crossings were very shallow which was good. Everything up our way is still closed and/or wrecked from the floods....lame.

Thanks man! Haha I don't really know but I rolled over a big awkward stump in a spot that was so narrow I couldn't get positioned right without the trees running into my fenders.
There was splinters of wood stuck up in my lotus LCA skid and diff skid. Pretty sure it got up in that area all together but luckily that link took the majority of the hit.

After quite the battle trying to get all the parts for the new lift together it is finally in and I'm absolutely stoked on the outcome.
A little story on how I wound up with what I got:
I had ordered the Bilstein coilover kit for the front and all was supposedly good to go but Toytec called back a few days later to inform me that they were now out of 5100s due to the backorder.
Darn!
So I grabbed a pair of front Tundra 5100s from another supplier I do a lot of business with at work (WorldPac)
So I call Toytec... "Hey I got the shocks, can you just send me the coilover kit minus the shocks?"
Yep that will ship out tomorrow!
2 days later... Toytec contacts me to inform me the springs are backordered with no available ETA.
Well double darn!!! Guess I'll wait.
I call a week later to check in with Trisha at Toytec whom I'd been dealing with. Nothing new but she offers me a crazy deal on the BOSS coilovers (pretty much what I'd have paid for the Bilsteins).
So I went with it and so far I'm really glad I did. I stayed after work today and put this all on. I'll get pictures of the truck up soon.
Thanks Trisha and everyone at Toytec! I apologize if I ever sounded and bit frustrated and I really appreciate the way you took care of me and kept in contact.
In the meantime.
I installed:

Toytec BOSS Coilovers (Silver #600 springs)
SPC Light Racing UCAs
Rear:
OME 861 springs
Bilstein 5100 extended travel shocks
Sonoran steel extended brake line
Toytec Panhard drop bracket

Caster set entirely from the lower (stock) eccentrics disregarding camber, then camber dialed in from the LR UCAs.
Apparently I'm half decent at eyeballing things according to the before readings.
This thing drives/rides absolutely excellent. Not as stiff as my full OME setup I had before but not as soft and swaying as the LC coils that I've driven before either. Happy Happy.
