eBay discount tire deal

I don't think it's just this thread. It looks like everything from him is gone.
Maybe the Amazon thing is true, but I highly doubt it. He mentioned that amazon did the same thing ($125/tire - any size) in past years but I can't find any proof to that online. Also mentioned that this current $100 off $400 happens every few months and from what I'm seeing it's around once a year.
The only reason I'm waiting is because I don't really need the tires right now. I'll see what kind of deals are offered up in the summer or black friday.
C or E load rating? If C I assume you went with 4 at once not 2 sets of 2 with the price being under $400?
Also am I missing something or do they not have bfg ko2s in 275/70/17?

They do. You just have to look on the Amazon site for them.

Duelers gone (on CL for sale), KO2 installed. Here is the total cost of 265/17R17 C-rated:
Tires:
$876.00 = Discount Tire Direct invoice: 4 x $219.00
-$200.00 = Ebay/PayPal discount: 2 x -$100.00
$0.00 = Tax
$0.00 = Shipping

$676.00 = Total 4 tires delivered to my home
Installation at local American Tires shop
$64.00 = Installation & lifetime spin balancing 4 x $16.00
$12.00 = TMPS RBK Basic KIT 4 x $3.00
$0.96 = Tax

$752.96 = New set of tires installed OTD.
That makes $188.24 per tire OTD.
And yes, I told them to put white letters inside. It looks much nicer.

Little cheaper but not by much but not the only way to get discount:
4 new 275 C=$732-100=$632
2 new 275 E=$408-100=308x2=$616
Only $16 difference and I don't think I need E rating

Don't know if he is a liar or not (posts being gone is strange), but Camel3x does not reliably account for Amazon sales.
I bought an ACOG scope off Amazon on a sale last year, and Camel3x never recorded the price drop that I got mine for.
ETA: I went ahead and bought the KO2's off ebay just now, I need the ties and the way this thread went left me thinking Amazon isn't happening. $338 x2 is still a good price.

Wasn't planning on it, I was just showing you don't need to get E rated to get the discount like you initially stated, you just have to buy 4 at a time of C rated not 2 sets of 2 E's

Thanks to the forum members for the heads up on this post! I was in the market for new tires, so I pulled the trigger today on 4 265/70R17 Cooper AT3's. $464 checkout price with a 70 rebate card = 394. Less than 100 dollars per tire to retread my 4runner with quality tires!
Of course, I know it will cost a little to mount, but this was a timely deal.

Had these installed today.
Came quite a bit earlier than expected.
Test fit, and sure enough, slight Body Mount Rub. Having BMC done on Wednesday, and decided I couldn't wait to have them put on. Will post pics of them installed soon.
All 4 Installed WITH Certificates and Lifetime Balance/Rotate, just under $1000 PLUS I have $100 visa card coming!!
Wow, those Nitto's look pretty impressive from that angle, even though I've seen some of the pictures on the truck here. Is that a stock tire on top? if so, what a difference!

Didn't order the spare yet. Not sure if I'm going to worry about it yet or not since I stuck with the original tire size. I'll probably just pick up a single tire later on off Amazon.
My KO2's are set for delivery tomorrow. Hopefully will get them installed Thursday or Friday. :frog:
