eBay Find 1985 4Runner (Solid Axle)

These trucks in even half as good condition are starting to get rare and Id jump on it for $6k and do a mild resto job. When I was in HS a friend of my parents had a brand new one. I miss the simplicity of those old Toyotas.

DAMN!!

:jaw: :bounce:

What's hard to see is that the smilies are really just yelling compliments at each other.

"I like your truck!"

"Your truck is cool too!"

"Your interior is ugly"

"Does this mean I have to apologize to you now?"

the rear seats in mine are grey vinyl with no fabric. not original, as mine was a seat-delete "van" in toyota terminology.

i bought mine via CL for $5k. i consider it to have been in better condition than the red one in the ebay listing, with better options, although my sheetmetal isn't original all around, and it had 97K miles.

Man I thought someone stole my truck with those red interior pics. I didn't realize anyone else had that great looking red interior:biggrin2:

This is my 4runner for sale. The only rust in this truck is in the outer rear passenger fender skin. Its not even in the inside of the fender.

If you don't mind a personal question --

Why are you selling your 4Runner? Especially one in such nice shape?

:pop2:

chuckles I say get the red one. The longer you wait you might not find one in that kind of un touched/un modified condition. I think it's nice that it's still so stock making it a good starting point for whatever direction you want to go with it. The color scheme is pretty fresh too if you ask me. That grey one you posted had hideous rims. Those would have to go right away!!!

Dad says I'm not getting a truck. :( He did mention maybe me getting his 04 when he gets a newer one in a few years :zoom:

I have really enjoyed this 4runner. This 4runner IMO is in very good shape to be a 85. Everything is really tight. I have too many vehicles so this one has to go.

I hear you. My wife is always on my case to sell off one or two of my vehicles. Must be something in their DNA.

Here's wishing they sale goes smoothly, and your baby ends up with a new owner who'll appreciate, and take care of her.
