Ebay HEADLIGHTS BLACK JDM

The original post was to get them or not and the ones from ebay has the amber reflectors hello.I thought the jdm ones were white reflectors.

As I got the information on eBay right, they are not JDM; they are some aftermarket manufacturing (unknown).
 
If anyone else up for a GB on the headlights. If enough people I can contact him to set something up.

I might be interested in Black headlights. The question is the quality of these lights. Who is manufacturing them? Where are they getting parts from? How they do it?
 
I also tried asking seller but he did not reply, obviously because that is how other sellers find out who makes it and tries to get it. Anyways, I got my tail lights from him along with several other on his last gb and they were good quality and he had good customer service as he replaced my cracked light along with others. I am not worried about his quality because of his previous sale to me.

If I were to get the headlights through him I would not be concerned. He was very helpfull and the quality is very good.
 
i bought the JDM style rear tails on ebay, probably from the same guy i don't remember, but i like them on my black runner. those blackout headlights would be a sweet addition. i'm in for a group buy if one is ever set up.

I was thinking of doing it myself also...but i figured i didn't want to mess w/ my stock lights just in case i didn't like it.

Do you have a picture of the black tails on your black 4Runner?
 
I sent Jason Burtman a PM in to see if he could get these same head lights and maybe he can get us a better price than xtremelights2003.

I bought previously through xtremelights2003, but I'd be more inclined to throw my business to Jason if he can get us the same product for the same price or cheaper since he is an active member on the board.

I'll let you know how he responds, or he can post here himself.
 
You can paint your headlights to make it look just like the JDM headlights. I used to have an Acura RSX and they also had the JDM lights available for around $500. Instead of being chrome, they are a smoke/black color. I took my headlights aparts and painted the inside bezel, put them back together and sealed them up, and you wouldnt know the diffrence except the the extra $500 in your pocket. I used to do a lot of the Nor Cal guys RSX's. To be exact, i did 53 sets of blackouts.
 
I currently have dyi black housing. I would say it is totaly worth it. When I did it myself it wasn't that much work. i was so scared of leaving them in the oven too long or scratch the bezel putting them back in. teh silicone is a mess too. So, I would say for the hours waiting for silicon,paint, oven to dry./ $250 is well worth it. I also noticed all my rock and pebble chips int the headlight 10times more. I saw knicks that you couldn't even tell b4. So some smooth spanking new headlights are alway better.

Fyi= I found some oem headlights on ebay used for less then $100 for the pair. if I want to switch back or if i mess up my current ones.

So I spent

$100/pr used oem headlights.
$5 silicone glue
$5 black paint
$5 clear paint
$115 and like 5hrs of work(mostly paint drying and oven time)

$260 aftermarket. 1hr of work, and you still have spare oem headlights.

WORTH IT!!!!
 
Ok guys. I got a response from Jason B with http://burtmanindustries.com/ and he says he is working on getting these same "JDM Style" head lights. Lots of people on the board have purchased from Jason in the past and have been totally satisfied so hopefully he can come through for us.

I'll keep ya posted.
