$100/pr used oem headlights.
$5 silicone glue
$5 black paint
$5 clear paint
$115 and like 5hrs of work(mostly paint drying and oven time)

$260 aftermarket. 1hr of work, and you still have spare oem headlights.

Use 3M Window Weld, its better then silicone. If you ever have to take them apart again, say a bulb breaks and you have to remove the shards of glass, you can simply reheat them and take them apart like if they were stock, silicone sucks cuz you have to cut it out and it makes it messy. But i agree, i dont know why anyone would pay $500 for someting that only gives you looks, no fuction or performance.

thank's nice tip. I knoe imma have to take them apart for some reason or another. I hope I can get this from a local aut parts store.

Im sure you guys have Kragens down in So Cal, thats where i got the WindowWeld. It comes in a tube, and you will need a calking gun to use it. I can get 3-4 sets of headlights out of 1 tube of it. if you have to use it, use a thin bead of it in the seal, too much and it wil ooze out and get on the inside where you can see it, or even on the reflector. I think i paid like $12 for a tube.
 
Glad someone let me know about this. Remember guys, I can pretty much get anything for anything.

I'm getting in a few sets to verify the quality. I never sell anything unless I know it's good, that is first and formost. These are made by a few places and I will weed out what isn't good and decide if it's something I will offer. If they are junk, you won't be buying them from me. :)

Please bear with me. I'm honest and don't want anyone to be unhappy. I will update as I have more info, no pricing yet.

Looks good to me. I spent like 20$ and a good day doing this mod. $250 would be a be pretty steep for me to spend on it now.

Thanks Jason for looking in to the headlights. I might be tempted to get some if the quality is good. I've bought parts from Jason and he is a very trust worthy person.
 
I'm also in for a set if the price is right.

One question that I haven't seen asked:

Does anyone know if that black plastic inside the housing will fade in the sunlight over time???? Most black plastic does fade on cars/trucks/suvs.
 
Hey guys, the JDM Toyota one has much better quality and it has blue tint in the reflector. Which means, even your bulb is stock you could still see the blue color under the day night. Also, the plastic len is "smoked" color by default.

I couldn't comment on this aftermarket headlight, however, in comparing the JDM toyota taillight and the aftermarket taillight.... definitely the JDM toyota one is more solid and has better crafting. No doubt... what you paid in what you get...
