Ebay parts

I am now 0 for 3. I trashed my 1st gen front bumper and tweaked the brackets, twisted the bumper and ripped off the end caps. I go on Ebay and find several stores offering the bumper, brackets and the plastic bumper caps. The end caps really looked pretty close to OE but the brackets and bumper are pathetic. Both are not the correct material thickness with the bumper only .065 and are stamped steel with wrinkles throughout. All have the stamp 'made in Taiwan' . The one part that looks ok was scratched and gouged during shipping.
Sucks
I am about to start rebuilding the front end with new ball joints and the idler arm. I guess Ebay isn't an option...

I lucked out and found a real chrome bumper on eBay. There's another "real new old stock" one on there now, but it looks too good to be true.

I've got the aftermarket front brackets coming in, and I fully expect to have to do some banging around to make it all fit.

Aftermarket filler plate, aftermarket end caps, and an aftermarket valance. God help me.

At least it seems I found Toyota still makes the chrome bumper bolts. Hopefully that purchase pans out. Last time the dealer said "oh, we don't actually have those anymore."

The brackets are junk. The end caps aren't bad but any steel parts have been junk. I sent them all back for refunds and ordered what I think is OE and a used bracket. The junk brackets and bumper would have done more damage if they are actually asked to perform some light impact protection.

I may end up with an extra bracket when all of these transactions are complete if you still need a right bracket.
