Die grinder with a 90 head would probably work. Juat sucks if you make the hole too big or out of round, you'll have the same problem all over again! Haha.
Exactly what makes me nervous about doing it.

Maybe it might worth finding a sleeve to go inside the sleeve instead?
How do heim joints fare in winter/salt/rust belt regions? Im tempted to order these but not if the heim joint will become a wear item.
they definitely take a good amount of maintenance to keep them working correctly. like spraying them off after every offroad trip/ drive in salt. and regular lube with a dry lubricant like triflow or the wd40 drylube from the proseries
Thanks, I may just have to stick with OEM style and PU bushings. I doubt they'd last very long through salt season up here.
First impressions. These things are solid and heavy. Welds look good, bushings look good, joints look good. My guess, is that these are blemished pieces without stickers. Every single piece has paint runs or some scrapes on them. That might bother some people, but I don't care, they'll be covered in dirt soon enough. I don't think anything is going to snap or fold if I land on a rock.
edit: They look dead on balls accurate to the Total Chaos set without the stickers.

How are they performing/holding up? I'm thinking of getting it. I got the ebay UCA installed on Lucy Pearl. Good so far...well we'll see when we do white mt trail.
That's good to hear. If it's like the uca, they're pretty solid. On the list that's getting longer. Hehe!Aside from the upper arm issue that I never resolved and so I'm still running stock uppers, they seem to be doing just fine. You'll have to take a peak under next time we get together. They're holding up great, although I did break a zerk on one of the lowers. Compared to stock, I'll risk hitting these on a rock any day and I feel like they definitely help my articulation.
Bump
for any updates, or if anyone has purchased in the past few months, has the seller fixed the too-wide sleeve issue?
Heims are a little rusty but that's my own fault. I never addressed the upper arm issue, but the lowers and track bar are still doing what they're doing. I had a slide or two off rocks across the lower arms and they held up great. Stock arms probably would have bent.
Yes they would have...since I myself had two bent stocks LCA's from doing the same thing ...but now only one thanx to Drunner97
I have also bent LCA's from having extended sway bar links and when wheeling flexing/ slamming them downward into my LCA's from above bending them in that direction as well ..not just from below on rocks. Once less headache, issue , or sound to track down by just removing them damn sway bars...which then makes for a better reason to upgrade to beefier adjustable rear UCA's , LCA's and panhard with having no sway bars and gaining all that new found flexibility and articulation on the rear end to help keep it all together and aligned.
Unless they've fixed the sleeves, the uppers will bang around. Never did do anything with mine.I just picked up a set of these links. I have not installed yet, but out of the box I must say the quality seems pretty damn good. Especially considering they were less than a third the cost of the link kit Total Chaos is offering. I will let y'all know what I find after I install them.
My guess is the same as the tc arms. They're beefy. I've slide down rocks on them.Has anyone ever looked to see how thick the walls are on these? I sent messages to the sellers, but they never replied. I went with the rear links from Front Range Off-road since I never got an answer from them. The FRO ones are pure beefy goodness. And for only a couple hundred more than the e-bay sets and half the price of the other big names I think they are the way to go.
