Did he give you an exact amount of the built in caster at any point? Might be worth asking to see if they just do 3* etc. IIRC the light racing has up to 4* adjustable castor and the desert racing has 3*. But the desert racing aren't adjustable. Other than being curious about that, that's a crazy price if they're a well constructed arm.

From my experience, not sure if calling will help, the person always says to send them a message and is clueless as to what their selling and their products. Hopefully you can get them to pass the phone to one of their claimed technicians.

thats my next question that i sent to them. it won't be within a week, maybe even the month, because i don't need them right now, but i will be getting them sooner rather than later

just got another message from the customer service rep when i asked about how much caster is added in to the arms. i got a beat around the bush answer about its all depends on how much lift blah blah. however, i think this speaks more to the customer service rep than it does the engineering of the product. i highly doubt they were constructed without any added caster if they were specifically designed for lifted vehicles, so I'm just going to wait until i get closer to buy to do some more research.

My brother just ordered a set for his 2014 Tacoma which has a full OME lift, Dakar springs, ARB bumper, Sliders, etc... He needed a set as his alignment never has been right. So he decided to test them out. They sent a tracking number showing a December 1 delivery. I will let you know what he thinks of them and if they fix his alignment issues.

I mentioned this to zak (zopperman) but figured I'd post up here too. May want to inquire what the uniball construction is. If it's not stainless it'll pit/wear out pretty quickly in any sort of moisture rich climate. That may be another reason for the lower price.

That being said, if they aren't stainless uniballs, and the arm Construction is good, you could swap in stainless and still come out ahead cost wise.

I almost guarantee therye made in china, I feel like theres no way they could be made in the US and be so cheap. The uniballs look stainless, but who knows. Keep us updated if they respond

Sorry haven't gotten on here to give updates. My brother just ran Tellico for a few days with them and never had an issue. No breaks, no squeaks, etc.

whats his suspension setup and how is his alignment? i emailed them again recently asking whether the uniball is stainless or not and haven't gotten a response

Of course he didn't keep the alignment sheet.... But they said he checked within spec. He is OME with and arb front bumper w winch so prolly 3" in the front.

good news everyone, just got this message back when i asked what they were made out of and what alignment capability they had.

lol, they even copied their response straight from Total Chaos's web site:

"4130 chromoly tubular upper control arms are 100% bolt on and hand crafted in the U.S.A.
UCA's are designed with added caster to aid in retaining factory alignment specs when aftermarket lift kits are installed. This reduces the darting or wandering in the vehicle's steering when 2.5"-3" lift kits are installed."
