eBay uniball control arms?

I thought I would share this.
2003 2009 Suspension Steering Lexus GX470 Toyota 4Runner Ball Joint Tie Rods | eBay

Kind of nice to have all the consumables in one place. This plus an energy bushing package should should tighten up your ride.

The one I did replaced LCA's, inner and outer tie rods and sway bar endlinks. Lca's came with new bushings and balljoints installed already. Was $220 total.

I reread everything i was confused on the tacoma balljoint now i know i need to buy tacoma replacement. These seems more pricey then the uniball version. Did these upper control help you with added castor ? And also what kind of balljoint do they come with and are they greaseable. . Thanks

I went with balljoints cause the other ones were out of stock when I needed them. Idk what brand of balljoint they come with. Pretty sure they added castor. Aligns fine. I also went with these cause they use a lot of salt on the roads around where I live, so didn't want to deal with salt and such.

I was able to test my silver uniball UCA's this weekend at Goman and they are still in one piece. They took a beating when I was on some small woops which quickly turned into large aggressive woops causing the vehicle to bounce quickly from front to rear while the passengers are laughing from rough ride, and me the driver, holds on and just hopes nothing will break. The only complaint I have is after one off-road usethe included black plastic caps for the uniball did not stay on. I lost one and the other one was about to fall off so I took it off.

Do you think Camburg or any other uniball caps will fit these arms?

I wouldn't bother with the caps. They'll just keep all the grit inside. Keep them properly lubed up and you'll have no trouble.

I ordered the blue one friday night and they arrived this morning. The bushings were a tad short but not by much. I just removed a little of the bushing. I painted them black and installed them this afternoon. Now the 32in tiers are a little too far back in the wheel well. Hopefully an alignment will fix that. I am looking froward to 4runner not being so twitchy on the interstate. Like it was before the lift.

Note: Don't try to use the zerk fitting that came with the ucas. One broke when I was pulling the grease gun off. I'll have to remove the uca and drill out the old treads or try the screw driver trick.

Just curious, u said your tires are a little bit far back in the well? did you install them backwards, i think they should add about 2* of + caster, which would put your tire further forward, correct me if im wrong.

I was also looking at these "blue" ones they have listed , they dont show pics of the slug adapters for the 3rd gen, i assume they are supplied tho ( even tho they might not fit correctly)

That's funny I lost mine as well after my first all day run with them as well this weekend but I have a new pair coming. Lol

There the same uca's but just blue along with the silver and red.

When adding castor your moving the upper arm behind the lower arm, thus moving the tire slightly back in the wheel well.

Positive castor would look like the rake on a motorcycle /

Zero castor is |

Negative castor \ (What I had with a 2.5in lift and stock ucas)

Remember your lower arm isn't moving, so by moving the upper arm toward the rear of the vehicle you're moving the whole tire toward the rear.

Give it a quick google there are a million videos.

So, I have a order in for the DOM Steel Tubing for the sleeves. Ill have enough to cut a few sets for proper length bushing sleeves. PM me 1st come 1st serve.

Just installed the blue arms. Had to shave the bushings for proper fit, the alignment is perfect 3.8* of caster. Only issue is that the front end is very "bouncy" compared to the factory arms.
Is this common?

This happened to me too. It's a little annoying. I thought it was the shocks but no one has said anything about it yet.

Just brainstorming here, but maybe the new UCA is significantly more rigid than the OEM one, allowing for more of that kinetic energy to be transferred to the coilovers.

As of now I have one slot open for sleeves.

Ill keep this thread posted.

What is your ID and OD of the tubing?

There is a lot more travel than stock ball joint, hence more range of motion. However they don't add bounciness they just expose the fact your suspension is already bouncy. If it is too bouncy you may want to look into different shocks.
