Does anyone know if I need the PAC steering wheel control interface (SWI-ECL) to have the steering wheel controls work with the AVN6600 on a 2006 SR5? I called Eclipse and they said 'no' but didn't want to be halfway into the install and realize that I do...

No you don't need a adapter. The connector plugs right in, both the original radio and the Eclipse are made by Fijustsu Ten, so it's the same connectors.

Thanks... so if I understand correctly, I also do not need a wiring harness adapter - the OE connectors should plug right in to the AVN6600?

Also, where has everyone found to be the best place to mount the GPS antenna?

Correct, you don't need any harnesses, everything is plug and play. I mounted my antenna in the cubby hole between the air ducts, as far forwards as possible. Works great.

Thanks cnims... installed it last night - went super easy until I had to locate the speed and reverse wires.
