Eclipse BEC103 camera

I have read over the forum numerous times and still can not find where to purchase one of these bad boys. I have googled and searched many audio video websites but still can't find any of these for sale. I apologize if this post has been answered already but please help a guy out.........................Eclipse BEC103 camera??????

I just recently found one on eBay, except now it is called the Eclipse BEC104. I paid $218 with shipping. I installed it last weekend and had pictures and everything, but my computer was hit with a virus and lost them all. Its a great camera, I love it. I have the '05 Camry Nav unit and it was a total plug-and-play, the hardest part of the install was getting the wire into the truck.

How difficult of an install was it to put in the BEC104? I would like to have it installed, but am afraid that it will be expensive for a shop to install. I really don't need it as I can pretty much park in any space w/o it, but I think it looks cool.

I am not quite sure how hard it is to install, but i was told by another member it took him 1:15 sec. This is the only unit that is a plug and play, the hardest part is running the wire.

Yea, plugging into the NAV unit is the easy part. Installing the camera on the rear hatch door and running the wire into the truck is where the real work is. I installed the camera to the left of the Toyota symbol on the rear hatch door behind the plastic bezel. Finding the exact angle and location in order to see the entire rear bumper was real tricky, I suggest using tape to locate the camera and then marking it on the door. The bezel also needs to be cut to allow the camera to stick out below it, it is very tight and everytime I tried to put the bezel back on, the camera would tilt down, there is a small allowance for the camera to stick out and stay at the right angle. Once that is all set, run the wire in the door and out the top of the door. There is a grommet on the door. If you are looking at the truck from the back, with the rear hatch open, it will be on the upper right of the door right near where the hinges are. Its a circle with a plastic cover, I removed the cover and fished a wire hanger down the right side of the door, then I hooked the end of the hanger around the end of the camera wire and fished it through. Then ran the wire along the weather stripping and into the truck, and then down the side tucking the wire under the plastic and under the door sills all the way to the NAV. When all was said and done, it probably took me 2-3 hours, I went slow and was very carefull when cutting the plastic Bezel. If you have experience with this it should not take you more than 2 hours.

What did you use to cut the bezel out with?

I used a dremel tool with a cutting wheel and a sanding drum attachment.

do you have any picture where the camera is mounted cause I have no idea what you are talking about.

I will take a pic tomorrow. The bezel is the plastic trim piece on the rear lift gate where the keyhole is, and the large Toyota badge. If you look under there you will see the two lights for the license plate, to the left of those is where I cut the plastic. Sorry if my earlier post was not clear.
