Has anyone been able to install an awning on the roof rack? I'm about to purchase one now and want to make sure I can mount it to the rack.

I have my ARB installed. Super easy! Since the rack has multiple mounting holes, already pre-drilled. Just buy some brackets from Rhino Rack, and your good to go.

If it is possible, can you snap some pics of the awning mounts on your new rack? I got the 2500 and I am waiting for delivery on my ecotechne rack. Thanks!

Received my 6th batch today and installed. Didn't come with enough hardware. Other than that, no complaints. Install wasn't hard. About 3 hrs by myself.

Anyone else having issues with rust forming on the welds? I’ve had mine installed for about a week and noticed rust forming on some of the pieces today.

I also used grade 8 hardware, with SS washers & ny-loc nuts to hold it onto the rack itself. A Little overkill, but I had some cheaper bolts snap while driving home from the mountains once, leaving my awning fluttering on the side of the truck. No scratches, thankfully!

I picked up a used one locally and see some of that happening. Wondering if I should just have the pieces rhino lined and call it a day?

Has anyone installed a gobi ladder with these? I remember rorck telling me you need to trim the rack a little for the hatch to open completely. The ecotechne ladder looks great but a little too bulky for my taste

I just installed a Baja Racks ladder with no issues. It's a tight fit but it works.

So I've been in touch with the guys at Ecotechne via email and they've been very responsive and helpful with my questions. To get the rack, 2 rails, and 1 tray for $700 shipped is pretty darn good. From one of the pictures they sent me they were able to fit 3 trays to cover pretty much the whole roof. Anyone here have that setup or see the need to? Also, I see that a couple of you have noticed rust issues already? How bad is it?

Got mine installed last weekend and man is it stout! cuts look pretty great too (5th batch)!



I did run into a little trouble while installing (on my end).. the tube that the bolts thread into inside the rails feel into the interstitial space on my passenger front mount.. so my rack is only bolted it 3 out of the 4 mounts.. its weight is carring the front passenger down but on some rough roads i am guessing it will bounce off my roof a little bit.



anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to fish out the female-ended threads? or something to take their place?

I know they are in the process of opening a second bigger warehouse and getting their own PC sprayer and oven so they don't have to contract out.
