ECT fuse location?

I know this is an older thread but....
I have a 2002 4runner. I notice no difference at all with the button engaged. With or without the trans shifts into 2nd gear at 5k rpm. I would think that it would at least go up to 6k with it engaged? I have a friend with an identical 4runner and took his for a drive and it's the same things. absolutely no difference between the button on and off.

Heck, till you bumped this thread, I had no idea there was supposed to be a light... lol. But I'm a "slow and steady" driver, haven't bothered with 'moar POWER!' Clarkston modes in decades. Thus, hadn't really thought about looking into this more...

Anyway, I can't tell any difference, at all, with that button either. I just leave it in normal mode. Non-functional things irritate me though, so I guess I'll have to pull the switch to check the bulb and check the 2 fuses mentioned above.

Anyone who's familiar, could you describe what it should feel like? Specific test driving conditions where you can identify that it is positively functional or not.

My ECT button had actually stopped working because the wire had become unplugged. Once I plugged it back in everything lit up. I should have checked that first before posting!
