Ecu price question?

How much do ecus fetch, there's a guy on cl with a 5sp 4x4 for $400. Does seem like fair market value? I ask also because I have one and I'm trying to appraise how much value in parts I have, so I can better decide what to do next. My ecu is from a 5sd 4x4 97 and has 146k. I know Toyota wants a first born for one, but what have you paid? Thanks

Like anything, they're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it when they're looking for one.
I was willing/expecting to pay around $350, but got mine for $150 [emoji322][emoji1360]
And mine was probably more rare than a '97- assuming both are V6 4WD M/T.

Cool thanks man. I get that it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. Thanks you for your input, $100-150+ is what Ill factor as a fair appraisal for that item. Your builds are really inspirational, very high oem OCD. Cool

EBAY. I think I paid about $50 and it came with a 30 day guarantee.

I've actually got an extra ECU, fully working & tested that I'll sell you for $40 + shipping.

It aligns with a 1997 4WD V6 Auto. I don't have the part # handy but I can get it if you're serious.

Also note the way to find these on EBAY is to search for the Toyota part # in EBAY. The part is very quick and simple to change out so no need to pay for an expensive part.
