Hi guys,
I got a check engine light, did a check on the code and it came up as a 71....which is the EGR system. After reading around, people recommend to clean the EGR Valve of carbon particles.
So I decided to do so. So far I unplugged the rubber hose on top of the egr valve, unplugged the small house going to the modular filter, I unscrewed the two nuts holding the valve to the engine. I also unscrewed the two large nuts around the metal pipes that are located one at the bottom, and one on the left side.
But at this point I am stumbled, the egr valve is not budging out of position...am I doing something wrong? I'd like to take it out to clean it....
any pictures/instructions would really help!
thanks in advance!
