Eibach Pro-truck lift

I know a lot of people put aftermarket springs on bilsteins, but when I talked to them they said if you put anything other than the factory spring on it they would not warranty them. Eibach said put what ever spring you want on there. You can get the eibach shocks separately and order the Toytec or old man emu or dobinsons front coils.[/QUOTE

I think you got some bad info there. I just read the warranty. No where does it say that you must pair the struts with factory springs for the warranty to be valid. Plus how would bilstein know? If you buy a bare strut you return a bare strut for warranty. There’s no way to tell what spring was used.

I agree with how would they know, but when I was researching different lift options I talked to more than one person at bilstein. They all said the same thing, non factory springs equal voided warranty. It was one of the reasons I went with eibach, I thought that maybe their shocks were built better to handle heavier springs.

Pretty simple question here. I have a 2014 and am looking to use this lift. I currently have Bilsteins set at 1.75 and Cornfed 1" spacers in the read to correct the lean. I also have an Airlift system installed in the back for when I tow.

Can I keep the rear spacers and the Airlift system when switching over to the springs and shocks?

Going one step further....anyone use this lift with 285 Ridge Grapplers? Feedback? Need UCA's?

Thanks in advance,

Can't answer about your airlift system question, but in regards to the feedback:

I've had the kit now for a little over 10k miles, with a little mix of everything. Very happy with the kit. Had the guys at Eibach install and align the vehicle. Factory UCAs are being used and haven't had a problem, or signs of uneven wear on the tire. No tracking issues on road, freeway, dirt, etc. Last week, did change over to 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers (standard load). Also still running the factory Trail Edition wheels, so I don't have any rubbing on the front bumper and didn't need to do clearance cuts. (i had a coworker with a Pro get the Terra Grapplers in the same size, and he had to make all sorts of cuts to clear; probably due to the different offsets of the two rims).

I only get a slight rub on the mudflap on that nub the protudes out in the front wheel well. I'm going to try to make sure it's fastened down, cause it seems like it just floats there and that's what catching. It's only rubbing on an inch spot and it's intermittent (depending on compression, tire temp, speed, etc).

I would say they are nearly identical. I love the eibach more than the bilsteins I’ve had in the past. Having an apples to apples comparison on this model, I can’t say. I had the bilsteins on my 2006 and it rode well. I think the eibach are tuned better for a more reactive ride. Feels like stock but less spongy. Either way you can’t go wrong. Both will give you what you are looking for and preform better than stock. Just keep the eibach on the lowest setting to avoid the uca replacement. Also with both kits I would recommend a 1/4” spacer for the driver side if you have the lean. It will level it out perfect.

Thanks! We put a bunch of time into developing each kit with quite a bit of ride work. We also try to test each kit on the various trim levels to be safe. This 5th gen kit is a winner.

Hey Ryan, any updates on when more of these kits will be released? Thank you.

How about testing on a KDSS equipped Gen 5 4runner. How much of a spacer do you have to put on the right side to stop the kdss lean?

Where is the best/cheapest place to order this lift?
I want to go ahead and get mine on order since I am hearing there is a god bit of lead time on it.

smooth ride

I have a 2012 LE with Xreas and replaced it myself with the Eibach pro truck kit.
Ride is as smooth as my Xreas(83xxx) was and took care of the front dive on breaking too. Could not be more happy with it.
Really leveled out the truck too.
Thanks

Found this old pic of my friends rig.

This is what I wanted to hear. Thank you!! Very few replies after the install and some good mileage in this thread. Looks like this is the one I need for my plans :thanks:

good price. that's about what I paid from shockwarehouse.com.

I was going to order from them, but I waited too long and their deal expired.
Saw this deal and figured I better go ahead and jump on it, not in a huge hurry to get it, but dont want a crazy backorder time screwing me either.

I am right there with you about the wait times, but for me it seems no one has a armored up 4Runner with this kit either.

Because you are concerned with the added weight?
Ive seen comments from several people that have this kit with a front bumper and winch, and rock rails, that that have a decent amount of gear in the back,
and they all love the lift and say it handles the weight well.
I forget the exact numbers, but I think stock springs are 550 rate, the Eibachs are 660 rate.
Now, if you had a TON of added weight, then it might become an issue. Im not familiar with how much weight full under armor would add up to.
I am pretty sure you would still be fine, until you were at the point of full expo rig, at that point you are going to be into some stage of Icon lift $$$$ Im sure.

8 hours, it took me 8 hours to install (with A-arms)
. Eibach needs to work on their directions. One page states the top grove gives you 2 3/4" lift and another shows the lowest grove for the lift. My kit came set in the top grove. Took me longer then I care to admit to find the issue. Just glad I did before I pulled the axles apart. Thought installing the a-arms would be the PITA. The second side I did went much faster. Would have helped to have a second set of hands doing the rear springs, but it can be done alone. 2 floor jacks, 3 Jack stands and a torque wrench got it done. Keep in mind Eibach uses SAE " standard American" on their shocks (3/4"). Test drive and alignment on the morrow.
