Eibach Pro-truck lift

Kit has been ordered. I am hoping this install will go smoothly. I am planning on keeping the stock UCAs for now - I wonder if I will regret that?

The install is not that bad. Once I figured out the snap ring issue. It can be done about an hour per side.

*** Basic concept, do work at own risk and skill level. I am not a certified tech, nor did I stay at a Holiday inn express last night***

Get the truck up on stands
Pull tire
Loosen the ABS wire from UCA link (to gain extra slack)
Remove sway bar link
Loosen upper shock nut (center one)
Place Jack stand under wheel hub and Jack under lower ball joint
Remove the two bolts holding hub assembly to the lower control arm
Mark alignment sleeves and loosen the lower control arm bolts.
Lower jack/ lower control arm.
Once the spring is fully decompressed, remove lower shock bolt
Remove strut
Install new strut, torque lower strut mount
Lift the LCA back into position using the Jack to compress the spring
Torque the two lower ball joint bolts and LCA bolts (making sure alignment marks are in place)
Torque top shock nut
Install sway bar link and ABS line
Remove Jack and stand from under the hub/ lower ball joint
Mount wheel
Second side is the same.
Put rear up on stands and remove wheels (I kept the Jack under the diff)
Remove sway bar links
Remove upper shock nut
Place Jack under other side shock and lift until coil spring is free
Remove lower shock mount and spring
Install new spring
Install new shock, torque lower mount to spec
Lower jack ( hope spring staid in place)
Tighten top shock nut
Repeat on other side
Install sway bar links
Mount wheels.

Get truck alignment

I used 3 Jack stands and two jacks

Plenty of tube vids for reference

Yeah, I got tired by step 2. I'ma have a shop do it. Seems pretty straight forward though. Good instructions.

Well, dont order from AutomotiveStuff.com,
I ordered this kit from them over a week ago, just now was issued a refund , said they cant get them.
Then take them off your site. grrrr

What was that site someone mentioned the other day that had them on sale again?
Shocks something?

Shock Warehouse?

I'll fill you guys in when the kits hit stock. I'm waiting too for my own rig....

I ordered from shockwarehouse back in January, the 9th I think. The last email I got said Feb 28th they should have them in stock.

Just keep monitoring the sites for the sale prices. They're not in stock anywhere so no point in paying more. Quality at a great price = winning!

The right rear has settled a bit, the half inch spacer I plan to add to the driver side will even if out nicely.
I know every one is different but do you think it's something that should be done initially? Or is it best to see how the suspension settles?

I have not heard others with the Eibach kit that had the issue, then again not many have posted numbers at all four corners either. It's a $20.00 part, but you won't know you need it until the lift is installed. I know others with other lifts have had the same issue and is well documented. The ride quality is not an issue and I can hardly notice the difference (keep in mind I'm used to working in 64ths of an inch). Bottom line is, I can't recommend how to spend your money without more information to build common consensus.

just a quick FYI. Had to drive out to some of the ranges on base today. All unimproved/gravel roads and tank trails. 50 mph (speed limit may or may not be 20 mph) one hand on the steering wheel and never even noticed I was in gravel. Almost felt like I was on black top. Very sure footed.

That's awesome!
