Eibach/Toytec springs with Tundra 5100's?

How much lift did it give? Which clip setting is it set on?

I believe we measured 23.5 inches from hub to bottom of the fender flare (limited version) in the front with this setup. That's somewheres around 2.5 - 3 inches of lift from the stock height. From what I remember looking at it, the clip was on the lowest setting. Eddy or Atalarico may have better information. Have to wait on Atalarico to post up some pictures!

Eddy, please post your opinion on the ride as well once you get them installed. I am debating about switching to the same thing from my Tundra TRD coils and would like to know what you think of the two. I am also running the Tundra 5100s in front.

will do... i drove his truck for a little bit and it felt sooooo smooth. those shocks on the lowest setting are so awesome. we went over some bumps and rugged terrain with some speed and the way it handled was a dream. i'm just waiting to put mine on so i can write a better review.

Wish I could have gone on that ride with y'all last night, but needed to get home... Glad to hear it's smooth! I'll wait to see how it looks on your truck, but I may have to trade out my TRD Tundra coils for these some time too now, ha!

Dammmn 23.5"??? stock height is about 20" and those coils are supposed to lift it 3". Whered the extra .5" come from? Are you on the 2nd perch on the 5100s? And I was thinking of going with this set up before but unsure. Wasn't sure if i wanted to get new eibach 3" springs or just bump the tundra 5100s up a notch or 2 (I'm on the 2nd right now). But i do know that the eibach coils have a higher spring rate than the trd tundra coils. how do the eibachs feel with the 5100s compared to the tundra trd coils on the 2nd/3rd perch? I'm guessing a tiny bit more stiff?

The springs will settle a little. I'm guessing that it will end up right around 23 inches. He said they are on the 1st clip setting.

Alright so I gotta get this straight. Did he purchase the c/o kit or just the springs and put them on the stock shock perches? It seems he purchased the threaded adjustable c/o kit from toytec but I'm a little bit confused?

first perch on the 5100's... the ride wasn't that stiff at all. i wish i knew what this set up felt like with the tacoma 5100's so i can compare, but i've never tried that one out. It was nice to feel the 5100's on the first setting. i had them on the 3rd setting without a top plate spacer and the ride was way harsh compared to this set up. when i added the spacer to level out the ride became pretty bad.

i did not get the c/o kit. it was the eibach 3" springs (the $160 ones) and paired them with the tundra 5100's.

Hmmmm, Im thinkin I might have to get these eibach springs then instead of putting my trd springs up to the 3rd notch. Glad it all worked out man. How much rake do you have now? Got any pics?

well mine aren't actually in yet... this weekend they will be. we did it on atalarico's rig. only difference in the set up is that he has the OME 890's out back and i'm running the LC springs... so i have yet to find out how much rake i'll have

I would like to think its worth it... but once you find your sweet spot you don't need to mess with them. you might adjust them when adding weight to the front or something... but how often would you need to do that? i pay $40 to get mine disassembled and adjusted. so for 260 i can adjust my coils 6 times... i don't think even someone with the c/o kit adjusts their ride height 6 times. but that's just my opinion

I have these mounted on my Bilstein HDs and they are awesome. I have them set at about 4" of lift. I wish I started with these. It's great to be able to dial in EXACTLY the lift you want.

When these HDs wear out, I'll replace them with the 5100.

Ok, now I'm confuzzled. I thought that the coilover sleeve kits only worked on height adjustable shocks? HD's aren't height adjustable....

The Eibach's and 5100's won't be adjustable at all unless you have like 500lbs on the front of your truck. The bottom clip is really the only option.

Do we know this yet? Gerdo has the adjustable c/o's at 4"... if we move up to the second notch we would be at 3.65" wouldn't we?

The Eibach's are a 620 lb which are quite a bit heavier than stock. They will not sag as much when there is weight added. Moving the clip up one notch is essentially the same thing as adding more weight to the coil. Since its a heavier coil, it is going to give more than the 0.65 inches that the clip gives as that measurement is for stock coils.

The kit is designed for a 2 inch shock body that has a removable (or adjustable) spring perch. The reason why it says the kit is not compatible with other shocks is that most do not have a removable spring perch. The HD's are the exception. However, the valving in the HD's is not ideal. I have heard of it being too firm with this setup and no extra weight which is why the 5100's are the ones recommended to use.
