Electric Fan Into Airbox......

I'm in the process of testing. I don't want to make everyone think they will get drastic improvements for nothing to happen.. Or use a fan that dies after a couple hundred miles. I had good and bad results regaurding mileage but I'm starting all over. Results of mpg could have been inaccurate, not the ones I told you. There was a short in the wiring. Also I need to mount it better with metal spacers..

I Googled this fan idea and got alot of hits about electric superchargers where the discussion went down the rat hole about high pressures. The way I see this fan working is it gives a very small "boost" to overcome the pumping losses of sucking air into the intake. Not sure if that is quite like the principal behind a ram air intake. I know the current IS250/350 intake has a forward scoop under the hood line to accomplish something similar. Anyone else have a good example of a production ram air setup?

Acura did one for the RDX. The silver "mouth" area around the Acura emblem feeds through a plastic shroud and seals directly with the top mounted intercooler when the hood is closed. Here's mine the day after I got it.

Haha I keep wishing this thread would die away till Its time to resurect it. As for now I have done enough driving again without the fan I will reinstall it sometime this week, with better connections and mounts..

At one point it was better I remember saying somewhere around 21.5 75% hwy but then it quickly dropped and after I noticed Iopened the air box to find the fan had lost some mounting hardware and really needed a more correct mount. And wasn't quite doing anything in the position it was in.

I know I procrastinate so much. I think it has about 50% to do with me working nights 7pm-5am and 50% with me being lazy oh and throw in another 50% for not doing it right the first time.
