Electric Fan question, about toggle switch.

Thats my diagram I drew on paint and thats how it's currently wired. Now when the tempature hits 185 degrees the fan does kick on but, it's only had to do that once since I've had the setup. Now heres what I can't figure out, I have it wired up just like the relay instructions but instead of hooking up the A/C clutch I wanted to hook it up to a toggle switch instead so I can have the power of turning it on myself. But the way its wired is like this.

But when I flip the switch nothing happens. Should I go go buy a 3 prong switch? Or what else should I do because I am stumped. The wire I am using is 16 gauge, which should be fine.

I just recently hooked up an electric fan for my cooling system, and yes, it uses a 3-prong switch--switched 12V, ground, and load (to fan). The aftermarket harness I have uses both control systems, though--it will kick on automatically with the therm., while the switch is designed to override the automatic circuit and turn on the fan whenever I want. I'm not sure how to implement it on another system, as this is their own pre-wired block (of which the relay is part). It's a DeRale (spelling?) system.

I should have figured I needed a 3 prong switch. I'm just an apprentice at wiring. Even tho I'm an interior electrician and iI even went through 6 months of radar repair school. But thanks $6 at Autozone and I'm good to go!!:thumb3:
