electric window works on door but not on Driver master switch

I have a 1993 4Runner.
The right rear window goes up and down via that door.
But the switch on the driver's armrest will not operate it. I bought a brand new switch and have the same issue. So it is something further down the line... any relays or other ideas on how to check it/fix it?

Have you checked the wire all the way to the door? This is just my best guess, but the switch from the driver's door would (Logically at least) run a wire to the window's motor
