Element Fire Extinguisher Mount

Does anyone carry an Element fire extinguisher in their 4Runner? If so, where do you store it? I'm looking to mount it somewhere easily accessible from the driver's seat. I know I could keep it in the glove box or center console, and if I can't find a better spot, that's where it will go.

i mounted mine in the same fashion. the quickfist type mount came with it if I recall correctly. I have another mounted to my mole panel in back.

As soon as they're available, I'm getting a Wit's end bracket to mount a regular fire extinguisher and I'll try to mount an Element extinguisher to it as well.

Yeah, mine came with the mount, but it looks like he mounted that to some sort of bracket coming off of the seat.

Man, I really don't want to rain on anybody's parade... so I'll let you hold my umbrella.:D

Anyway, sorry, but those Element fire extinguishers are garbage. They don't have the range or power to put out anything but the wimpiest of fires safely. Sure it's better than carrying nothing, but not much. And yes, I have actually tested one.

Got any close up pics up that bracket?

Might have to fab one up myself, I got one of these extinguishers and it's just chilling in the door for now because $60 for the Bracketeer which may or may not actually work is not that enticing, and I'm not a fan of panels on the console and what not.

When the door is closed does that prevent access?

No. Plenty of room to grab it.

Flat plate mounted at front seat mount. Another long plate welded perpendicular to mounting plate. Then the supplied bracket with the Element secured to to the long plate.
