Elwood pass Colorado

I am planning to have a trip with family to Pagosa Spring (Colorado) and I see that there is Elwood pass trail in the area that I would like to explore;

So can anyone can comment (especially if have been there recently) if this trail can be explored in slightly lifted 4th generation or this will prove to be too much of the challenge? (I did my research on the web, but I thought I would here as well);

Any comments\recommendations are welcome!

It's a pretty valley all the way up from the highway - definitely worth a day trip from Pagosa Springs. Easy drive up to the waterfall - it gets rougher past there but nothing my stock 2nd gen 4runner couldn't handle. I'd think a lifted 4th gen would be OK.

I was there in early September, so the snow was gone and the water was low.

Thank you!

This time of year there will be snow in areas on Elwood but nothing to worry about. My 4th gen can make it and I have a similar setup to you with regards to lift. I think mine is just a little taller but with 33's

Thank you “Snugg”! That is exactly info I was looking for!
I am planning to be there on the end of July and probably will have new Cooper ATP or GY Duratracks in 255/75/R17 (32’s)- cannot decide which one yet;
Thanks again!

That's going to look perfect I bet! Good choice in tires
