Emergency brake, recalibrate or something?

I'm just curious if the handbrake can be manipulated or recalibrated by the dealer, so that you don't have to push the emergency brake so far back. Lately it's been doing that, and I only have about 4,600 miles on the Runner. Well mainly probably because it sleeps a lot on the slanted driveway of mine, but I've noticed that the handbrakes (in both my Ody and GX) don't change too much in how much you have to PULL in this case, to keep the car from locking up the gears. Not sure what you are asking from your question, but if you are asking if the parking brake system on your '06 can be adjusted to apply sooner when you press the foot pedal, then yes it can. It is a relatively simple procedure, which shouldn't take the dealer long to do. If you are handy with automotive work, you could do it yourself. Just be aware that, as has been discussed at length in some other threads before, the parking brake system on the 4th gen with rear disc brakes, is not as effective as earlier models with rear drum brakes.
