I'm pretty sure I'm already on multiple watch lists due to past and current employment
The correct answer should always be "I'm Batman!"
I forgot that rule: "Always be yourself, unless you can be Batman, then you should always be Batman."

Sorry Nevada... why I'm Jayhawk5G!
perhaps you missed it, but he has contacted them...Why didn't the OP just call the Toyota's department that handles this function to let them know he is no longer paying for this service and wants it disconnected. I think that would have been the most simplist think to do. If that didn't work then proceed to the question asked. Makes me think he's not the original buyer of the vehicle or may be the guy who has actually obtained the vehicle in a manner that was not legal.
Dealer does not understand why it is not working properly...so they default to "they can't detect any problems". Toyota has not heard of the issue before so they refer me to the dealer...
The service is subscription-based and is not required safety equipment.
Heh, I went to school with a girl named Jasmine Meadows. Guess what her parents did in the 60s...but maybe you have really weird parents...
funny guy.
that's fine, I don't really care who you are, but I am a bit curious as to why you want to know who I am? that's an odd question.
I don't hide behind a screen name, I AM Nevada. I may be wrong, but im guessing you in fact are not jayhawk5G. but maybe you have really weird parents...
Well my first question was in reference to the fact that you (based on your signature) don't own a 5th gen and yet are in this section defending someone who has clearly set themselves up for misunderstanding and then stoked the fire with their comments... well that and the fact that I can't recall seeing another of your posts...
I felt like a funny guy when I typed the message, it sounded like something you would say in a western. My actual name is Ryan... and aren't everyones parents weird?

say what? im Nevada, who are YOU?
absolutely not, and trying to justify it is a bit ridiculous.
its a subscription service, is it not? its not required, therefore who are YOU to determine if he has to keep it? there was no call for him to be treated the way he was for his question.
no.So you know him personally?
exactly.Man, this thread turned sideways in a hurry.
I don't think the OP was off the charts in asking how do I disable the GPS crap built into his truck. Maybe I am missing something.
OnStar type systems are fine for people that want it. I do not want somebody in Ohio being able to remotely control my vehicle in Colorado, thank you very much. Or for the government plotting out my every move (should they decide they want to do that).
The tin foil hat comments are amusing. If you want to have somebody with the capability to track your every move, cool. I do NOT.
That's why my cell phone has an off button, my new Trail does not have the Toyota version of OnStar and I want the choice to be or not be watched by others. And I choose not.
