Energy Poly Sway Bar Bushings Lasted 8 Months

My red Energy 30mm front sway bar bushings only lasted 8 months post lift. I'm going back to new stock bushings and hardware this weekend.

The hollow thunk/thud when going over bumps (manholes are a perfect example) is back.

They're well greased and I disassembled them this past weekend to inspect and clean ;however, the noise is still present. The bushing looks OK but I'm not sure the bracket has maintained its rigidity.

I'd think twice before going aftermarket on a lot of components, the OEM quality just isn't there.

Remove sway bar completely and drive it around to see if that solves the clunk and isolates it to either the mount bushings or the end links.

My energy suspension components are great. They have been on over a year, and are still tight. Actually, I've never (until now) heard any negatives about going to polyurethane bushungs. For curiosity sake, when was the last time your control arm bushings were replaced?

LCAs were replaced with new OEM 6 months ago.

Everything feels tight underneath but there is still noise. They were quiet for about 6 months then the noise returned.

Auto parts retail drone here. A good 50% of the energy suspension products we sell end up getting returned. Usually because they fell apart. Seriously. Its pretty bad when our house brand bushings hold up better.

Well I replaced the POS Energy bushings and bracket and my front end is silent and tight.

The OEM originals lasted 155k. The Energy lasted 1.5k. I would seriously reconsider OEM before "upgrading" to Energy. It's not an upgrade, period.
