Engine light... Simple or Is it....

So this winter I noticed that my engine light comes on but when it gets hot it goes out.... If its above 70F it turns off but if its below 60F for any longer than a day it kicks on and Trac and LSD turn off and lights come on. So i went to the nearest Auto Zone, O'Reilly Auto, Auto Parts and they all said its a fuel issue located near the topside of the Fuel tank... What they couldn't tell me is why it only comes on during cold weather.. I am no way near the smartest guy on vehicles. So if anyone has had some knowledge on this or had this happen to them. Please let me know some ideas. Prices for that said part that they couldn't give me a name for is around 80 bucks and have to get it from a dealership only. But nobody will tell me the name of it or if it fixes the issue.

We need a code. Once we have the code, we can look it up.
"a fuel issue located near the topside of the Fuel tank" doesn't cut it.
They should have told you the code.
