Engine Oil Cooler-Worth the Hassle?

So I'm preparing to install my transmission cooler (No MRcoffee in this post please), and I managed to get an engine oil cooler from a 4th gen free.

Is it worth installing an engine oil cooler? the following writeup gives great input for relocating the oil filter. I was thinking about tapping into these lines and install an oil cooler while I am at it. I'd install the oil pressure/ temp gauges if i go ahead with this mod.

I'm thinking the benefits might not be noticeable since return oil to the engine will be heated up pretty quickly negating any benefits of the cooled oil with lower viscosity that could reduce engine wear.
I am planning on doing some towing eventually so this may be beneficial in the future.

No, IMHO.

Spend your time and effort on making the transmission install a success.

I have yet to see a 5VZ-FE that didn't have an engine oil cooler from the factory.

I guess it is possible that some were produced without the engine oil cooler, but I would bet that you have the factory engine oil cooler too.

That is a great write-up. Seems worth it just so the filter is more accessible. I hate where the filter is now.

Where is the factory cooler located, Ive yet to see any oil cooler on mine.

I like the idea of a oil cooler, but I think Im out of room for another cooler, between the massive Tranny cooler and Power Steering cooler.
