hi everyone so I have a 1993 4runner 4x4 and I'm doing a ''simple'' engine swap taking the 3.slow out of it and putting a 3.4 engine, transmission and wiring harness of course. now my question for you guys is will the transfer case from my 1993 4runner fit the 1996 transmission? thank you for taking your time reading my post hope to hear from someone soon!:guitar3:

I mean no offense by saying this...

If you're asking questions like this, perhaps a bit more research would be a good idea. I am pretty sure it won't work.

For swaps in older vehicles I would recommend Yotatech... They have a bit more information on this subject. Send a message to DeathCougar here or on YT, or Vital22re on YT. They should be able to help quite a bit.

none taken I did do some research but I thought it'll be easier and faster to post it here.. thanks!

I've done engine swaps before (only on classic American rods) and I must say do your research first before attempting anything. Although I do not know your answer, Asking does help and I applaud you for doing so since it may help you get a better answer for your specific needs. Good luck my friend.

I was under the impression the bell housings swapped over. That was the case with the 2.7 bolting up to the W-56 tranny in my last 4runner engine swap. I would assume the bell housing from the 3.4 tranny would bolt up to the tranny behind the 3.slow. Id say look into swapping bell housings instead of tranny/transfer cases. That would be a whole lot cheaper.

thanks for the help! I REALLY appreciate the help you guys! I will post pictures of the work later on in the month!

I miss my drop down tail gate that was on my ol 90 4runner.
