Entune - Problem with messaging/contacts

2015 SR5-P Entune w/apps non-JBL

Phone= Samsung GS5

Everything was working fine until the other day when two problems started occuring:

1.) Bluetooth randomly disconnecting/reconnecting (very annoying during phone calls)

2.) I tried un-pairing and re-pairing the phone to solve problem #1 and now during the pairing process the follwoing happens:

Phone prompts me to allow vehicle to access messages- I select "allow"
*then*
Vehicle hangs on "waiting for device" and eventually times out- It never receives the "allow" response from phone... Same exact problem for contacts/call history access

Has anyone had these problems? Any advice?? I have tried removing removing device multiple times and can't get any different result.

Try clearing the cache on the phone. Won't delete your data.

You have deleted the pair from the truck also?
You have restarted the phone after the deleted the blue tooth pair?

Mine only worked on the day I bought it. Never got messaging to work again. Entune is pretty much broken.

Yes, had tried those...and just now tried with deleting phone cache...still not working...

I have the Samsung S5 as well. Mine does the same exact thing, I tried deleting all messages, every combination of removing and repairing. It just times out after allowing entune access to SMS. I even did a backup followed by a full wipe on the phone and nothing has fixed it. I am starting to think it is the bluetooth stack of the S5. I should try another android that I got laying around.

I did a factory reset on phone and it started working just fine again...Hopefully the same problem does not happen again...the factory reset is kind of a time consuming fix.

I have problems if I keep every text message. Have to go thru and delete them every so often.

If your phone is Android, there's a way to save all text, pictures etc using Avast Backup to Google Drive and maybe Dropbox. I have mine set up to backup only over WiFi. You do have to give the app your password though. Or just create a BS account for it.

I've had this issue with my S6 and my new 15. It works someofthetime. In my opinion, there should be a class action on this entune junk!
