Did anyone else just get the email from Toyota about Entune being updated on August 20th?

Lets hope for the best. It looks promising.

hmm if they are covering from 2012 to 2015 then they must be consolidating the interface? i thought it was 2 different systems? this should be interesting. currently i am on 3.2 on my 2012.

I have a 2015 as well here and didn't get anything.

However, I do have the Bing app and it looks like that may be getting dropped and applies to all of us then?

I haven't been having any issues as of yet with Bluetooth and my 5S phone.

We'll see in about 8 days!

Hopefully this fixes the text message issues with all the S5 phones.

that is not part of entune.

it only covers the apps within the entune app on your cellphone. it has nothing to do with the other functions of the head unit.

I haven't received an e-mail either. I'd be up for those radio stations, probably ditch XM for I-heart. I know I already have the destination search, voice activated nav/phone, history etc...

HiJacking...

I have yet to get my weather, traffic, etc working from the car console. The bluetooth works for phone calls and for music. When I try the other functions, I keep getting the error:

"Connection has failed. Please ensure that the Entune app is running on your phone".

- I have confirmed pairing (and even deleted and repaired)
- I do have the Entune Suite App running on my iPhone
- I did create an Entune account using my vehicles VIN
- I have gone through the setup and tried enabling "internet connection", but get the same error

The "Connect to Vehicle" is grayed out when I go to the app setup screen. Does that have anything to do with my connection problem?

Any other ideas of things to try?

NM. Figured it out after more research. Apparently you have to have your phone connected via the USB cable for the additional features to work. The blog post I read said that some phones work over bluetooth others require the cable. I guess my iPhone 6 requires the cable.

My IPhone 6 and 2014 Sr5 doesn't need to be tethered. However the Toyota app stopped working for me. So I just use Bluetooth now for music
