error code (P2441) self correcting?

Hi All,

First, first real post, so "hi". This forum has been extremely helpful in doing the basic maintenance that I intend to do ('15 T4R SR5)

I have been using GoFar as a milage logger - it's basically a BT ODBII with a memory bank / logging capability. Since it stays plugged in, it also reads the error codes - which I got about a week+ ago: P2441 - Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve Stuck Closed Bank 1). I was traveling and didn't look into it until I got back, and by the time it got back, it had been relegated to history, and cleared (I didn't, and don't think GoFar did either). I have OBD Fusion as well (use via VLink WiFi OBD II), and that doesn't even show the error code (shows no error codes, though I'll admit that that app is a little opaque to me, and though I know it's there somewhere, I can't find the history to see if this was logged at some point).

Anyway, wondering if this is something normal, just not to worry about, or what… any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks for the link… hadn't come across that yet.

couple hopes for this not being what I'm seeing - mine is a 5th Gen… the posts with issues were all 4th gen. not sure if this is something that continued through to the newer trucks? The bypass solutions all seem to be for earlier models, too…

Also, I don't have any dash lights or symptoms, just the code that is in history… again not sure if this matters or not.

Thanks

Dave
