So I finally had a little time to start on my build thread. I have to say my 4runner has come a long way from a bone stock 2012 TE KDSS, Nav w/entune. I was the second owner of this truck and when I purchased, it had a measly 6k miles. Long story short I have been a Toyota owner for 10 years. Started with a tacoma which was an awesome truck and also had a 4runner TE non KDSS but things happen and ended up selling one after the other. Deployments and other things got in the way and happy to say I found this gem. She is my second 4runner and this is how she started.
So I had the truck stock for about 5 months and then started to get the mod bug. First I blacked out all the emblems and purchased 265 70 17 Cooper ATP's with some MB 12's wheels to give it the look I thought I wanted at the time. At this time I was getting ready for deployment and my truck went on hold for a few months.
September 2014 - So while on deployment I was already thinking of getting back to my 4runner and was still reading all the awesome build threads and information on T4R.ORG. Believe it or not this was my stress reliever after a long day. I came across some of the build threads and I knew I wanted sliders but also a step to accomodate my son which was smaller at the time. Shrockwork sliders came to mind and ordered them while I was gone. Wait time was 4 months and guess what that is how much time I had to get back. Worked out perfectly, and this is what she looked like after the install.
October 2014 – Time goes on and still have the mod bug, decided to add VLED’s throughout the truck, graco mat thanks to TRDPRORUNNER, and purchased a used pelican case from craigslist for my tools.
Fast Forward to December, 2014 and bought ICON Stage 2 lift during the Christmas special. Awesome lift to this day. If your on the fence to purchase don’t be.
