Ever left the sunroof open in the rain?

I dried the power buttons and wiped everything dry only on the surface. The seats are soaked through to the bottom with water. :ybrick:

What should I be worried about right now? What can I do besides removing the seats?

If this happened with my 3rd gen I wouldn't be as worried. With my '08 I feel like there are more things that could get water-damaged.

Do you have any electrical issues? Have you checked to see if everything works properly? If you have and everything is okay, I'd say you're in the clear.

Depending upon how much water got inside, I'd probably remove the seats and possibly the carpet to make sure you can get everything good and dry.

this happened in my celica all trac in a Hawaiian downpour. check for water in the electrical connectors and switches. lift up the carpet for peace of mind also to eliminate possible corrosion issue. use a wet vac, to eliminate possible mold infestation.... buy wet okole seat covers for next time it happens

No electrical issues, power seats, windows, transmission, and DAC are all working fine. Everything is dry thanks to a couple rolls of paper towels. Seats being the only exception. They are soaked like a sponge.

All of the prior and.....If you have a garage, pull it inside and let it air out for 2-3 days. If you must drive it, fold over a beach towel and sit on that. This will at least draw some of the moisture from the seat by force. Parking at work, weather permitting, leave the windows down a bit so that the moisture from inside can evaporate. These will all eliminate the possibility of mold, rot and bad smells. Good luck!

Leave the truck out in the sun with the doors open or close up the vehicle and turn the heat on full on leave the truck running for a few hrs. Its how we expedite the drying process at work after shampooing a vehicles carpet at work

Thanks for the input guys.

It's going to rain here for the next couple days so I pulled it into the garage. That's a good idea about using heat. I decided to use a ceramic heater instead of the car's heating. Every hour or so I open the windows so the steam gets out. It's almost back to normal now.

I moved it to a garage and let it dry overnight. Seats were dry thanks to the Wet Okole covers. Everything seems fine a year later

I had this hapen on my explorer. What i did was remove the seats and lift the carpet so both sides will dry and not mold. I still go out an look allot of times when it starts to rain after that.
