Excited about new mod /upgrades

Finally got around to performing a few updates to the rig that I have been thinking about for almost a year now.

A) Getting rid of the "I Agree" button on the Factory Nav System. This is simple and just requires upgrading to a more recent nav dvd version. Damn was that thing annoying. I was able to get a hold of one from a local 4R buddy for cheap.

B) Factory Navigation Override. I now can use all locked out features while the vehicle is in motion! Again, not being able to use my $2000+ Factory Nav to it's fullest potential was quite annoying to say the least.

Like I said I am quite excited about these mods as they will come in handy with the type of driving I do. More details to come and I will continue to update my site as I have more time available during the holidays. Happy Holidays!

I read somewhere that they had eliminate the possibility to override this in the later models. Do you know if this is true? I can understand why it was done, but if you have a passenger working it for you, you should be able to use the navigation to it's fullest potential. Thanks in advance.

Also, on your "always on" fog light mod, does your switch still work or are they always on when the truck is on regardless of the position of the switch?

They eliminated the software override after ver 5.1 of the DVD map disc. My override is a hardwired module that operates via a switch anytime you want to be able to operate the locked out functions. My override module works with any DVD map disc version.

In regards to your fog mod question...this mod simply allows you to run the fogs anytime the vehicle is on. They still operate only when the fog switch is activated, but now they can be run with no other lights on, with the parking lights or even the high beams if you so choose.
