Just wondering what you guys thought of this one. And would it fit the stock pipe w/o doing any mods to it

don't trust those cheaper tips

In my experience, I bought an exhaust tip from a local parts shop and installed it on my 4runner; the next week I went on a trip to Florida (which is around 1500 miles) and around 800 miles into the trip I noticed the outer edge of the tip started to brown from heat. Finally when I got to south Florida and settled in I went to wash the truck and was startled to find that the inside edge had rusted and burned through(the outside tip was blackend like some held fire to it for about 24 hours). I paid around 35 to 40 for that aftermarket tip, and regretted it. After I threw it away immediately I decided to order the Toyota tip and installed it low and behold I returned to Oklahoma a month later... (The same 1500 hundred mile trip) and no damage what so ever. Here it is a whole year and a half later and still going shiny. So if you ask me ... I would go with the one the manufacturer trusts. if not make sure its 304 stainless steel. because the one i bought said it was stainless steal and i had that nasty stuff come up.

Ya know, i rememeber seeing a tip that had two heads coming off of the stem that attached to the pipe. Just wondering what you thought of it. Think that it would look stupid?

Stick to the stock tip.

My exhaust on my M3 looks like that but it really is a DTM exhaust.

One problem.. After a week or maybe 2 , this tip started to corrode inside. Not a good product...... If You can pay 40$ for tip, go with Valor tip....

But then again, your car is a M3 with after market exhaust that does make power gains.

I guess i'll just do the valor tip then. But any other tip that i choose to but will have to be 304 stainless, right?

If you want the exhaust to turn out and look correct, you will have to have the resonator cut off, then the exhaust can be turned out. I hated the way the stock pipe stuck straight out, so I went to an exhaust shop and had them do this. You can pick from tons of different tips and it is welded on.

I am not really sure. I never ride with my rear window down, because road dust always circulates back in. I would think it would some, but then again, I have really noticed it. It was mainly for looks on my end.

Just noticed your post. I bought the same one, it looked well made, and it looks great, 2,600 miles and its starting to rot inside, it's going back!
