Experience with GEOLANDAR A/T-S P265/70R16?

This is my 1997, running a set 265/70r16 Yoko Geolandar A/T-S. I purchased the tires @ 124K miles and I'm currently sitting @ 178K miles and they're still not worn out. They're getting close, but they've probably got another 5K in them. That was achieved with a total of 5 or 6 rotations over the life of the tires and 2 alignments.
I keep them at 32PSI (cold) day to day and they ride very well. They make almost no road noise, they balance easily, peform well in the rain/snow, and they do pretty darn well off road. The only situation they don't handle very well is mud. The tread fills up quickly and they start slipping and sliding.
I've run them over sharp rocks, roots, etc and never had any sidewall issues.
I'll be replacing them with another set when these ones wear out, except I'm going to step up the size to a 265/75r16. They're a great tire IMHO, especially for the price.

BigFish...thanks for the info! Nice '97. Looks like you're lifted some, or is that just SR5 appearance?....I'm worried about fit on my stock height.

No lift at all, that is stock height in those pictures. I've never once been able to get the 265/70's to rub at that height, and I've had it on some forest roads that really cycled the suspension. You'll be fine. Search around and you'll find that you can even run 265/75's @ stock height w/no rub. Lots of guys do it.
The only reason I'm going up a size is because I'm going to be replacing the suspension and I want to fill out the wheel wells a little more. The current shocks and springs are beat, so I picked up a full set of '99 tall coils w/60k on them, some Bilstein HD's, and some Daystar 1.5" spacers for the rear just to give it a little rake. Should go perfect w/the 265/75's.

I've had a set of P285/75/16's on my '99 Land Cruiser since Nov of 2007. I now have approx. 55K miles on them now. About 8-9 months ago I began developing a noticeable noise especially on the highway - my local Discount Tire says they're beginning to cup. I honestly have gotten lazy about getting them rotated the last 1 1/2 years though.
I go hunting and fishing, rocky roads, mud, everything - they hold up like iron. They are not tore up at all. My size is a load range D so they ride firm, but that's what I want.
I recommend them for their all-around performance and long wear.
PS - if you find them lower somewhere even Tire Rack, print it off and take it into a Discount Tire if you have one near and they'll match it.
