Extended brake line

Over the weekend, we installed an ICON Stage 1 kit on a 2014 TE and noticed that the rear brake line could possibly get stretched out if the suspension flexes out.

Are you guys replacing the lines after adding a lift? For every day driving, I don't think it's going to be a problem, but I'm a little concern if we take it on the trail.

It has been my experience that you will not require an extended brake line in the rear until you install a long travel set up or remove the rear sway bar. The rear sway bar will limit the travel significantly.

If the brake lines were closer to the wheel, then I could see it being overstretched. But since it is located towards the center of the axle, there is very little movement. Think of the rear axle like a see saw and imagine the rear differential as the pivot point.

Vin, no extended brake lines for me. I think maybe if you went over 3" of lift or LT you'd need them.

I had no problems with a lift out back. When I went LT and no swaybar, I added extended stainless lines.
