extended sway bar end links

I need longer sway bar ends links front and rear for my 2.5" lift. I need:
Front - 1/2" to 3/4" longer than stock
Rear - 1" longer

What OEM end links have you used that will work? I've read that 2nd gen rear end links are 1" longer than our 3rd gen rears, but that is not correct, they are 2" longer. I've also heard you can use 3rd gen front end links on the rear, but how much longer are they?

Just sitting in my garage you can see the links are no longer perpendicular to the sway bar and the bushings are being pushed to the side. I don't expect extended links to give me noticeably more wheel travel, but I wouldn't be surprised to gain a little. The key is to return the geometry back to stock.

Will everything just melt if they are cut/sleeved/re-welded?
That's kind of what I want to do...or cut/threaded for a turnbuckle type sleeve

I made my own using grade 8 all thread and Heim joints ... Check the classifieds there is a forum member making custom end links that look pretty slick

I have about 3 1/2" lift in the back and use 2nd gen (95) 4Runner links. It works fine and they are perpendicular.

You can use the front links on the rear to get a some extra length in the back. Trick I learned from guys at Total Chaos.

Not trying to take away sales of MStudt's nice end links, but I did a pretty easy solution that has worked great for the last 20,000 miles.

I bought these end links (you choose the length you need) at my local auto zone:
Energy Suspension 9-8119R Energy Suspension Sway Bar End Links - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS

I bought bushings like these (purchase the correct ID for the eyelet shaft):
Energy Suspension 9-8103R Energy Suspension Sway Bar End Links - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS

And finally I bought a forged eye bolt from home depot/lowes. Pick one that has a 2-3" long shaft, and cut down if you need to. Also I picked mine based on the side of the sway bar's bolt hole opening, not the size of the energy suspension's links. You want the eye of the eye bolt to be about the diameter of the bushings, not bigger, but it doesn't have to be as small sat the end links bolt.

Here is a picture of how the 3 parts are all put together, pretty self explanatory if you ask me, and the best part is that any local auto zone/advanced/oreily's/pep boys is going to have these if I break one.

Those links work pretty good, and even better if you lose some of the bushings. You only need bushings on the top (frame mount side) and between the eyes. Adding extra bushing on the sway aren't doing any good. The bushings are acting as a pivot point and not allowing the sway bar to function as it should. You can mount that eye bolt directly to the sway bar and be better off.

I have a toyotec lift I guess I'm about 2-1/2in. So you take the stock '02 links and put them on the back - what do you do about the front? Those are the rears from the '95?

Yes any 2nd gen 4runner rear from 90-95 will fit front & rear of 3rd gen 4runner. Rear works well with LC coils

Thanks for this info. I just bought a Runner that has the sway bars removed and would like a cheap temporary solution to install them and see how I like the ride with and without before buying some disconnects.

I dont believe that to be correct. Im not sure about the front but I just installed Moog 2nd gen REAR links on the REAR of my rig. They are 1" longer over stock. Part# K80380. LIke $20 on rock auto.
