Exterior door handle scratch guard?

Hey guys,

Ive seen them for other cars, but I cant find one for the 4Runner.
Ive seen clear and black little plastic insert that go behind the exterior door handle to keep the paint from getting scratched. Uusually see it on the passenger side, if you catch my drift.

I found some cheap 3M type clear bra material I might just cut to fit, but if something is prexisting, id rather just buy it.

1. I don't think there is a pre made solution so mylar or such would be fine.
2. If you do use the "clear bra stuff" it will still scratch.
3. Those scratches will come off quite easily with some cleaner wax.
4. Tell her to cut her nails.

I would just use the clear bra material you have and trim to fit, use a heat gun to help massage it in to the cup shape. If the curve is too much for proper adhesion maybe you can try cutting it to this general shape: Amazon.com: (4) Universal Clear Side Door Handles Paint Scratches Protective Film Vinyl: Automotive

But I'm with [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION], nothing some cleaner wax and/or scratch remover can't solve. Unless her nails are diamond tipped, any scratches her nails make will almost certainly come out with some light buffing

Agree with Greg and Eddie, my 2010 had port installed clear bra material in the door cups. After almost 4 yrs, there was nothing there (scratches). Probably don't even need a heat gun/hair dryer to install because that stuff is so conforming.

Yep, I have a couple of discs of clear bra stuff behind the handles as well.
