Exterior Plastic Door Trim Help

I have a 2000 4runner limited. Silver in color and it has the plastic wheel trims as well as the plastic piece running across the bottom of the doors. I believe this was a limited piece that was not on the sr5s. Is that correct?

First of all what the heck do they call those pieces? Cause I've searched everything and I can't come up with anything!!! I assume they are not a permanent piece and can be removed.

Personally I think they look better without them. So my question is: can they be removed without leaving holes? Is there an aftermarket product that looks better and is a little more durable? Are there aftermarket fenders that replace the plastic pieces on the runner? I'd like to pull the running boards off and build some sliders but I think it looks better without the plastic pieces.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you speaking of the rocker panel cover? If you remove that, there will be holes underneath. Those won't get in the way of your sliders. The wheel well trim might, depending on what style of trim is on there.

Yea the rocker panels. Is there a company that makes aftermarket ones that are a little more rugged looking? I'm not worried about them necessarily getting in the way I just think it looks cleaner without them.

This is what it looks like without the trim.

Basically the difference between this really clean look with no plastic Vs all the plastic on the limited. I like the look of the one without all the plastic.
