External Tranny cooler and location

So, there are a ton of different sizes of these coolers out there. I want to bypass my stock cooler.

I don't want to over cool my transmission. I live in the Sacramento Valley and it can get cold but not often to freezing temps. During the summer it has reached 110+ on occasion. I've seen light duty and medium duty, on up to ultra super duper duty cooling units.

I only drive around town and the occasional road trip. Advice on what to get? Size that would match the stock cooler?

I'd say B&M 70264. I live in concord and I know sac can get pretty hot. A lot of ppl I see on here go with 70264 or 70268 (70264 is a little bigger). 70264 was recomended to me by someone tht used to live in the area. It never snows in the area or anything, so Id go with 70264, thats what I got...Just havent installed it yet lol

70264 is perfect. Do it now before you get the pink milkshake! It comes with all the needed mounting hardware, either the zip straps that go right through the radiator/condenser or brackets. I used the zips and the cooler is in front of the a/c condenser. I drive in temps from 110 to 25 deg and it does great.
